Dude left a while ago for about a year only to randomly make a comeback.

Just sucks he left when things get juicy again. the Brook flashback really almost killed what's left from this forum's activity...Even now just a few days after Luffy getting fodderized by Imu, majority of activity steams from Crux and Erkan mass spamming their delusions - with that one Kaido fanatic inbetween fighting for his life :willight:
There's not really much to discuss with Imu, it's really just Oda teasing the fandom with dead characters that the audience has no real connection too. Luffy getting dominated was cool, but pretty much everyone knew that was going to happen except for a few Yonko fans I guess.

God, as much as I dislike Imu, the reasons for it are multiplied by five for Edo Tensei Madara. Just absolute horseshit of a villain.
Eh, I didn't hate Madara. He was extremely entertaining, its just that he wasn't exactly interesting. Kishimoto severely cucked him out of narrative and emotional relevance when he made Obito secretly "Madara" for the entire series run. Lol. The guy who set up everything and was involved in everything, who had deep ties to almost every major characters backstory and trauma...... all being Obito and not Madara kind of just turned Madara into a nothingburger of a character. He was there for hype moments and aura, and didn't have a shred of connection to any of the main characters.

Quite literally, the only people on the battlefield he gave a singular fuck about were Hashirama and Tobirama (who were LITERAL dead men), and Kishi didn't bother to really develop any other connection for him. Closest I think he got was Gai, and only because he thought he was strong and appreciated his taijutsu....for all of 5 seconds. 😅

He also didn't have a unique motivation.it was just Obito 2, Electric Boogaloo. Granted, chronologically its the other way around, but we didn't get to really see it that way. And Obito just had way more effeot put into getting him to that breaking point. Madara's heelturn was trash by comparison. He goes from holding hands with his boyfriend while walking around their village, smiling from ear to ear and even NAMING the place.....to throwing a temper tantrum because Tobirama said he didn't want him to be the Holage and that nobody else did either (which Madara actually agreed with iirc, so.....tf, man?) . Kishi dropped the ball with him in a lot of ways, tbh. He was such a fun character to have around, I refuse to believe Kishimoto couldn't have found a way to make him work. But as he was he kinda sucked and had no decent off road, so the madman made him swell up like he ate something he shouldn't have in Willy Wonka's Choclate Factory and punted him off to one side so he could have a heart to heart with Hashirama (because again, Kishimoto established NO reason for anyone else to give a shit, or Madada to give a shit about anyone else. Which is weird, given Naruto pretty much always TRIES to find some common ground with all his personal major villains) and then die. :whitepress:

Newer fans love Madara today but Madara was tiresome af and sorely repetitive back when Naruto was weekly

Everything about him felt whimsical and contrived. Dude was the epitome of battle junkie but also wanted to do the Infinite Tsukiyomi which did not fit with his mindset. Madara stomping on characters was also getting boring af and near asspull lvls of unbeatable until Naruto and Sasuke actually asspulled god seals near death lmao

Worst life cycle I've ever seen in a David Attenborough show is fig wasps. You'd think the author of Berserk was involved in writing the lore for the miserable existence of these cursed creatures.
