Controversial Is there any trope in fiction that you hate?

Personally one of my least favourite tropes is when Characters are in a dessert wearing robes and they just throw away their robes

Like you are in the dessert that thing was protecting you from the sunlight

Or even when they just throw away their robes for no reason at all even without a dessert setting like why even have it at that point?

I can enjoy almost any trope if the characters feel believable and the story gives it a fresh twist.

Something like Slime, when he started to play god. First season was good, but everything else was just trash.
