He BARELY overpowered Kaido‘s attack, like barely and even worse when you consider Luffy was attacking Kaido from above

That's why CoC at base level was always useless bar fodder control.
It was just a sign on Conqueror, the one who dominates in pre time skip.
And it's the same for all form of haki.
Base Haki is useless against Top tiers.

It's FS, ryou, Conqueror coating which sort of gives you a pass to top tier.

Well Shanks wifi haki diffed an Admiral.

JoyBoy‘s Haki knot gave Imu a PTSD, reverted the Gorosei‘s yokai transformation and knocked out VA.

I believe if it JoyBoy peak himself was there maybe the haki blast would‘ve affected admiral Kizaru

My point is that Luffy is relative to Kaido at worst, even if we were to still give Kaido the edge in a 1 vs 1, it'd be mostly endurance related. Other top tiers wouldn't do much better than Luffy in his strongest form, people got to stop downplaying characters just because they can't accept Imu is that powerful

I guess the downplaying of Wimu comes on how Oda tend to treat his villains.

Yes his abilities are indeed beyond comprehension. But haki can cancel this. Hence why Shanks now have haki compared to JB haki who had Imu shivering and shaking like a bitch. What does that mean?
