Future Events Oda wrote himself into a corner for the ending of Elbaf

He still teleported onto the island from the ship. So if disrupting the circle sends them to where they teleported from, shouldn’t he have been sent back to the ship?
He should, but from a out of story standpoint, since it was so small a distance, I just don't think Oda thought it was important.

But what is was Warcury, Ju Peter and Nasujuro all instantly being sent back once the "energy" of the Abyss Pentagram was disrupted. With Mars also forced back once he was out of range.

So, if what powers the Abyss is disrupted, and someone used it to teleport somewhere, like Imu did, whoosh, off they go.

I’m pretty sure Imu just recalled them and that’s why Saturn was left behind because Imu was killing him.

Having your colleague dying in front of you and having your replacement is even more so.

But sorry, I really don't think the Haki Knot dispersed their forms and then Imu arbitrarily recalled them within nanoseconds of that happening.
Well get further explanation but I think erasing the circle sending people away wouldn’t make sense since its not like the circles are ever shown again after someone uses them to teleport? Like there’s that circle now in the middle of the forest

Saturn sailed in-person to Egghead. So disrupting it didn't really send him anywhere far unlike the other four.
I actually forgot even the hell Knights teleported into Elbaf. They didn't sail here. Your theory actually works. Plus all these magic is being powered by Imu. If he's forcefully taken back to Marijoa either by the time limit thing or by the circle disruption he will likely also take the Hells knights with him

Um, yeah, they stay around. Shamrock and Gunko arrived in the one Harald made at the castle 14 years ago. And Imu through the same one, later on in the arc.

This feels like Kaido and Luffy though.....so even if some reason imu needs to leave Elbaf or they get saved by something by joyboy haki......he could always pump Luffy some air and make him defeat Imu

But like I said earlier, when Kaido beat Luffy, he wasn't really ready. But now, he should be.

Advanced Armament Haki ✔️
Advanced Conqueror's Haki ✔️
Advanced Observation Haki ✔️
Devil Fruit Awakening ✔️

Literally, what else is there, unless there's something to pump up Gear 5 to make it live up to it's hype.

Imu clearly massively outclasses Luffy and is Top 1 all time. Shanks said his power is immeasurable and taking him out rn would also waste all the Gorosei and God’s Knights as well deflate the inevitable Void Century flashback. Luffy beating him this arc would kill all stakes and tension for the rest of the story. However on the other hand Imu winning but somehow not killing Luffy might be just as bad. Kaido, CP9, Aokiji, and Crocodile, all either were too arrogant and lazy to finish Luffy off, naively thought they could break Luffy’s will and turn him into their underling, or weren’t actually hostile to Luffy. Imu has already said he’s let go of his arrogance before descending. As seen by what he said after Harald died, he doesn’t want to take Luffy as subordinate, and he hates him.

Maybe a tie? Maybe Imu gets some of the kids while Luffy unlocks something new?
