A lot to unpack here:

-The Giant Tree (maybe a branch of one?) is a clear Adam Tree/Yggrasil nod
-We have a squirrel in a viking helmet to the left, that's a clear Ragnir reference
-Luffy is standing on a tree and two swords: foreshadowing Imu stabbing him into the Adam Tree on Elbaph?
-Multiple swords also Imu foreshadowing
-Any idea what plant the squirrel has in their mouth? Could be important
-Luffy's Sword has a Lion on it. Lion-Man foreshadowing?
-Vivi also has Big Mom colors, furthering my hope Linlin arrives here, too
-Vivi has a mark on her chest, much like the God's Knights, an anchor symbol. Foreshadowing God's Seal?
-Luffy is holding a bag of meat. Maybe Vivi will bring Luffy a bunch of home cooking as a gift? He needs it right now


Karoo and Vivi are the 11th and 12th Straw Hats. We are approaching chapter 1200. 12 = 1200. I think this is when Vivi will return.

"Currently in the story it’s being set up that Vivi is going to rejoin the Strawhats for the final saga. However while I wouldn’t call Vivi weak she still not strong enough to compete with the threats upcoming in this final saga. The fastest way to fix this is to give her a DF and the 1 I think she’s gonna eat is the Paw Paw Fruit. I think this because in SBS 59 there’s a question where someone points out that the SH’s DF’s translate to the numbers 1-10 Gomu (5,6) Hito (1,10) Hana (8,7) and Yami (4,3) and the only 1 missing is 2,9 which would be the Paw fruit and Oda pretty much dodges the question. All the other SH’s without DF’s wouldn’t eat 1 because it wouldn’t work or hinder their fighting styles so that leaves Vivi. U might say If Kuma dies at the Red Line why the fruit reincarnate at Egghead well the thing that represents his humanity and makes him him is at Egghead his memory bubble so when he dies I think his fruit would appear there. It even works in the sense where both Vivi and Kuma are both Royalty who have/had served under a D clan member and Vivi will use Kuma’s power to carry on Kuma’s Will to free the world."

The one problem I have with Vivi returning is I'm like 99% Kuma is dying and Vivi will get his Fruit, and became a Cat Girl representing the Sea Cat.

Why is the Sea Cat a sacred animal?

Because the OG user of the Nikyu Fruit WAS a Sea Cat, the Queen of Alabasta, Nefertari Lili, and she used her powers to spread the Poneglyphs across the world. What other power in One Piece could reliably scatter the Poneglyphs like that during a period of such tumultuous war, where travel was most likely incredibly difficult?

I think Gyaban will die in Act 4, I think he survives here.

But I am extremely worried about Jarul and Saul, and I think Kuma is 100% dying here.

Bonney will turn Kuma into Nika Kuma, so he can be "himself" again for a bit, and he'll either die kicking Imu off the country (what I hope), or, if Imu DOES succeed in this battle, Kuma will teleport everyone off Elbaph using his superpowers.

After Kuma dies, Vivi eats his Fruit. Since Kuma's Fruit is very powerful, and he seemed to be a master of it, I think Kuma might be able to control WHERE his Fruit respawns. If that's the case, Vivi is the perfect candidate, and this Fruit allows her to fit the Healer Class the Straw Hats lack. They have a Medic/Doctor, but not a magical healer, like a Cleric. Oda LOVES his RPG class stuff, the Warlords all are inspired by an old JRPG.

The Squirrel in this Cover Spread also makes me believe Lili and Ragnir were close, and that Ragnir will respond very positively to seeing Vivi. We might even get a small flashback to Lili and Ragnir chilling.

The Squirrel is also wearing a necklace. Not sure if this is important, but, the Squirrel def has swag.

I think we'll see Vivi return at Chapter 1200 or around it. Hopefully with Karoo.

As for how Vivi gets there, here's my ideas:
1: Steals Morgans' ship.
2: Jumps off Morgans' ship onto a ship below, or flying nearby, possibly foreshadowed here.

3. Vivi contacts Alabasta via Den Den Mushi, and has Pell pick her up (while Pell carries Karoo).

Since we haven't seen Pell in awhile, I hope he picks Vivi up, though I can easily see her hijacking the ship, or her jumping onto either the Revs or Red Hair Pirates sailing to Elbaph (I believe both the Revolutionaries and Red Hair Pirates have ships that can fly due to Dragon's DF and Shanks' Sword Gryphon eating the Gryphon Fruit, and carrying the Red Force).

Either way, Kuma is squaring up with Imu, soon.

One thing that interests me, is Kidd should be able to repair machines at a rate even Vegapunk and Franky would have a hard time matching. Since we haven't seen Kidd yet, I've wondered if he's helping heal Kuma.

Only thing that bothers me about Vivi's arrival on Elbaph is when Imu starts simping it's really going to ruin the aura he's been building, and fans are going to complain out the ass over it, but, that's One Piece.

The King of the Celestial Dragons is clearly a giant simp, and either Nami or Vivi is going to be our first exploration into how bad of a simp Imu is.

I am aware that this was drawn for chapter 217 over 20 years ago, but Oda must have had some kind of idea by that time what the Elbaf arc would look like just because Little Garden started around chapter 116/117, which was the Arc we got Elbaf mentioned to us for the first time. And now we are here.

The "random" squirrel on the side, with the giant tree in the back, is clearly a ratatoskr/ ragnir reference as you mentioned. The specific helmet is also very telling.

I was looking for the type of plant that the squirrel has in its mouth. It seems like it's just a normal leaf stem. Although looking at it closer, the 2 leaves are pointing in the same direction, which is usually the case when they follow the strongest light source in botany. Pointing at Luffy / Vivi, huh? Some type of symbolism here?

The rest you point out is very interesting too. The swords in the tree fit with the current situation. I haven't noticed the little Lion's head on luffys Sword either. Talk about attention to detail. Nah, man, nobody can convince me Oda drew this without having deeper thoughts. The 3 Guns Vivi is carrying. That sword. It fits her. Badass looking.

Now that we finally have Chopper in action, it would be nice to learn and perhaps, as you say that Lili might have known Ragnir ?

There are definitely some death flags right now. I know it sounds cynical to wish for a character's death in the story, but if not now, then when? I never put more thoughts into Kuma actually dying, but I was aware of the going-on theories because of the weird nature of that SBS question you mentioned fitting his devil fruit right in there. The way he "dodged" further explanation. Technically, he doesn't need to die, because he's with the straw hat crew right now, but who knows?

He did the same in a similar fashion with the Shanks "being" 2 different persons question. He right out censored his answer. And we know how that turned out, hm.

I know Big News Morgans would die to be a witness on Elbaf right now, Lol.



So maybe they'll arrive or not, but we will see Vivi and Karoo again that for certain.

The other Satellites hacking Big News Morgans to find out what's going on in the world makes a lot of sense, and, since CP0 kidnapped Vivi to begin with, I really like the concept of former CP0 Agent Stussy being the one to save her, here.

Stussy could easily extract Vivi using her Rokushiki, and possibly Bat Zoan, if she can fly using her wings.

I think a lot of Color Pages are going to be important in the future, great catch with this one.

Elbaph has definitely had more planning than Wano, IMO. Oda's been thinking about it for a long time.

Yeah, I couldn't see the Lion-Head at all till I found a bigger picture. The three guns REALLY interest me. Hmmmm. Oh, maybe, Ace, Sabo, and Luffy? She's met Ace and Luffy, and it's pretty clear Vivi and Sabo will meet, at this point. Also referencing Joy Boy, Davy Jones, and Nerona Imu? Three guns = three brothers?

Maybe the sword Vivi is holding is actually the Neferteri Family Weapon, like Longinus and Gram. That would be WILD foreshadowing.

I can't wait for Chopper to talk with Ragnir more. I do believe Ragnir's Nakama, the War God, instructed Ragnir to not tell too much about the past, though.

I've been really torn between wanting Kuma to go to Heaven and see Ginny and him getting healed to be with Bonney. Also, he's just... so heroic. The reason Kuma is so beat up right now, is because he's a true hero, who always defends others. I think he'll end up dying as a true hero of Elbaph, and become worshipped in the country. I'd rather him survive, but... damn.

The SBS answer about Kuma's Fruit has always bothered me. We'll have to see.

Hoping Morgans shows up himself, imagine him covering this incident?

I still think Usopps botanic skills are underappreciated (I know many people like them and have made lots of theories about them), especially when it comes to the parallels with Noland. We have the important trees in One Piece, Adam/Eve/Yggdrasil, and the devil fruits. I would actually like if Oda would make Usopp do more stuff in that direction. Maybe we can get a cool little flashback to him training with Heracles and learn something of importance ? I don't think his sniping skills need more work (only my opinion) since he has long proven that he is a masterful marksman.

The Family weapon will be so interesting once all of them get revealed. Perhaps one more reason for Doflamingo to make a comeback then. If we actually get to see what the passed-down Nefetari weapon looks like, and it's somewhat close to the one in this color cover, then I'll eat my hat. Or it will be something completely different than a Sword, we will see, hm.

I have the Revs coming to Elbaph, too, because I think Dragon wants to recruit Vegapunk again. Sabo could easily show up here, and he has been with Imu, as well. Would be hilarious if Imu starts bitching about Sabo, and then dude just spawns in.

Oh YEAHHHHH, I can't wait for Doffy and Vivi to interact. "Your shit family left the Holy Land, too, huh? There is one other thought I had regarding Pell, though. For a long time, I've looked at this page as Vivi using the x on Luffy's arm to send a message to the Straw Hat Pirates:

But, Vivi is very open with Pell and Chaka. I'd think it would be weird, if they DIDN'T know about the x on her and Karoo's arms during the fight/end of Alabasta.

So, it really is possible Pell will recognize the x on Luffy's arm, realize the only person who could have put it there is Vivi herself, and will fly to find Vivi on Morgans' ship.

Who knows, maybe Pell and Stussy will run into each other, too.

Now this is the part where I could write hours. When it comes to Heracles, I don't even know where to begin.

But in short, do the revolutionaries know him personally ? Or the scientists on weatheria where Nami landed, etc. This could play a bigger role later. I know not every single character has to have ties to the revos, but for Kuma to have sent them to these spots, still makes you wonder after so many years.

Heracles, being an expert in botany, would certainly be interested in the unique flora and fauna on Elbaf, not to mention the colossal insects that we've seen so far. Even though he stayed on Boin Island for a very long time, we saw him having no issues traveling around.

Now here it gets interesting. During the sequel to The Decks of the World cover series, we got the follow-up "From the decks of the world the 500,000,000 Man's Arc", seeing Heracles reacting to the news after dressrosa. I think this is where everyone reacted to the New bounties and also to "God" Usopp. And it is explicitly stated that he's not returning to Boin Island, yet. So his current destination is left a mystery. I wonder where he is headed to...

Entering the Elbaf tree itself sounds interesting. I know that in real mythology you can't physically enter the Yggdrasil tree because it's not hollow inside, but we know Oda often does his own variations and doesn't 100% copy 1 to 1, so yeah why not.

If Oda never shows this in the canon story, I want a sniper island spin-off where the best snipers in the one-piece world show up for a grant contest with Usopp, of course. (But that's just my own little head canon)

I have the Revs coming to Elbaph, too, because I think Dragon wants to recruit Vegapunk again. Sabo could easily show up here, and he has been with Imu, as well. Would be hilarious if Imu starts bitching about Sabo, and then dude just spawns in.

I am with you on this one, preferable not a sword for Vivi, because they are the most common. We need more unique things like the peacock slashers you mentioned. True that. Still feels a little weird knowing stuff as readers that individual characters in the Story don't because they weren't present at that moment. Like luffy never learnt the details of Namis back-story still feels odd to me, but thats Luffy for ya he doesn't need deeper reasons to help someone.

Lol no please, no goofy moments for Imu. It would take away the seriousness. But I can still imagine this scene in my head. Kinda reminds me of Buggy during the Marine Ford moment when it was broadcast, and he intercepted presenting himself to the world. Now I want Buggy to intercept another global broadcast, just to show off. We need more Buggy screentime in the Story in General.

There is one other thought I had regarding Pell, though. For a long time, I've looked at this page as Vivi using the x on Luffy's arm to send a message to the Straw Hat Pirates:

But, Vivi is very open with Pell and Chaka. I'd think it would be weird, if they DIDN'T know about the x on her and Karoo's arms during the fight/end of Alabasta.

So, it really is possible Pell will recognize the x on Luffy's arm, realize the only person who could have put it there is Vivi herself, and will fly to find Vivi on Morgans' ship.

Who knows, maybe Pell and Stussy will run into each other, too.

Oh, very good point actually ! I had almost forgotten about the printed X in the newspaper. Yeah, that was 100% a message from Vivi to the straw hats. Okay, this settles it, then people who know of this must know Vivi is safe aboard Morgans airship and that's where to find her. Of course, someone with flying abilities is more prone to finding them. Pell could be a good candidate then.

I need Pell to show up on Elbaph and be like, "My god... HOW ARE SO MANY PEOPLE FLYING, I THOUGHT THERE WERE ONLY 5 DEVIL FRUITS THAT ALLOWED FLIGHT?!? NANI???"

I checked all translations for the chapter (spoiler summary + TCB + official VIZ) and they all say Longinus, so its not a mistake.

On another note: Harjudin actually has an attack named after Gungnir, he first used it in Dressrosa.
