Whitebeard took *countless* hits.
- Countless because I'm unwilling to actually state every wound he had.

Kaido got stabbed several times.
- Killer did a move where he basically skewered Kaido's body.

Big Mom got sliced through the head/neck.
- Law sliced through her neck and then did internal damage which supposedly does more than external damage does.

Conclusion, Luffy being stabbed a couple times isn't a big deal, and it's actually absurd to think it is.


You have to remember that Oda has a history of repeating stuff like this.

Did Luffy die when Lucci used a Finger Pistol to pierce his body? Nope.

Then why is Luffy struggling to get up after Gabban took the swords out?

The big deal is that he got pinned to a tree and was on the verge of getting his head chopped off by Imu until Gyaban showed up to save him. Getting stabbed isn't the issue. It's the helplessness it caused. All of this happened after he got spanked in a chapter and was called weak by the same person who spanked him. The cherry on top is that Luffy, by his own admission, was in peak condition.

What's your angle exactly?
Are you questioning whether this is some endurance feat? Or are you arguing more of an "luffy take Ls all the time against major enemies, but bounce back eventually" type of thing?


Because when you talk about WB, for instance, it feels like you're talking about endurance feats, since WB died in the end of marineford.
But that's an issue because we had in-story characters calling out Luffy's haki fading, luffy completely helpless and impaled to a tree by a life-essence-sucking sword, and another one that probably does something similar, and was about to get his head chopped off by yet another magical weapon.

People are painfully aware about the "no stakes" part of OP. Some dont care about, some are bothered by it, doesn't matter. we know it is a thing. What people are discussing is nothing more than a powerscaling angle.
