Gaban's feat is Oda's MO of having respected characters go out with a bang. He gives flowers to characters who go beyond their limits with a significant power gap/disadvantage (WB two-shotting Akainu , Zoro permascarring Kaido with Asura, Ray/Gaban 2v1ing Oden, Law puncture willing BM)

Does this elevate Gaban's portrayal? Yes, he's not mid-diff material for any top tier, may even go extreme diff with some admirals

Does it change the hierarchy? No, we already have confirmation old legends are beneath current yonko (Bumleigh's admission)

Does it downgrade Imu? No, cuz he was distracted and already nerfed. The attack ultimately did little to him

Oda has a clear hierarchy in his mind of where chars like Runleigh and Waban lie. He is relative to yonkos in their prime but still below them (difference is debatable), they always matched up with other lower subordinates. Oda wouldn't even let Runleigh fight Primebeard to save Shakky despite it being his spotlight. Gaban fought off other weaker Rocks members instead of Shiki, BM, Primebeard

Almost certain Gaban won't be above Shanks in terms of haki prowess. Despite the crazy feat, it's said his talent was still below Shanks, who could genuinely copy Roger's own techniques. It's ridiculous given Kamudo feat is arguably top 3 haki feat but Oda made this clear already

Shanks is golden boy, ofcrs his Haki feats will be better, and there's no clear cut one Yonkou level.

Huge gap exists between WB in prime to Old WB to BigMom.

It's purely Damage Control Puck. A few users have to make a detailed thread why the performance wasn't as impressive or the damage was negligent, i mean did they really need to if everyone who read the chapter didn't reach the conclusion Gaban exceeded expectations? The chapter itself wanked Gaban next levels.

And frankly Gaban, who just recently had to be treated and carried on back, cut the tree/freed Luffy in that split second and stopped Imu 's attack. This alone was good enough for the old Legend but ....Oda went beyond and showed us some of the top Haki feats. It can't be taken away from Gaban, no matter how much some try lol.​

Primebeard vs Prime BM vs Kaido is extreme-diff all going to Primebeard out of portrayal. Shanks is possibly stronger than them but it won't be anything less than high diff and that is likely with asspull Gryphon ability or some shit

The only horrible yonko standout atm is Goofy who's constantly treated like a joke. And thats cuz Oda keeps giving MC syndrome where he keeps losing to keep him as "underdog" until the climax when he finally looks somewhat good. It's retarded but it is what it is

- Remove their combined attack, Their own critical Mass is stronger than Gaban attack Kumado. Now that makes it two Haki feats Above Gaban Individually.
- Joyboy Haki solo sky split, I'm not even counting Imu yet.
- Top 4? On the basis of what lol. That was basically Joyboy 2.0 Haki burst travelling miles away to target one character. We have no such Haki feats in the show yet.
