Yeah I mean it seems kind of abstract

Sorry for mis-correcting you beforehand

But since you're somali I want to ask

Would you say that hypothetically, if Oda wanted to do this wordplay on "you are", with Blackbeard, in a somali direction, that he'd use the word baad?
Probably not, baad is used in conjunction with another word. Story wise I also think he’s not gonna confine BB to a movie, he will show him off in the main manga

Watch it be the Rocky Port incident finally adapted and told for the first time. From the movie of Rocks D Xebec to the second movie making of his son the young goat, the surgeon of death, and hero of the marines

Honestly, Oda is a fucking failure at writing a story in which key characters have their moments overlap with each other. Instead, it's a shitshow of non-stop Condom dick-sucking.

If you counted the panel time of Teach in the entire post timeskip that spanned over 15 years, you literally cannot make more than 2-3 chapters.

I do not want Teach movies when canon Teach gets less panel time than fucking side-side characters.

Not a fan of how much Oda seems to be into the side materials since Wano ended. I really hope we get an actual Blackbeard flashback in the manga instead of just....parallel stuff with Rocks and Davy Jones, who the audience doesn't really have a reason to care about and movie shit. It'll make a lot of money, but it makes the story worse.

Over 15 years, this golden voice wasn't given a chance to shine during its prime.

SchizOda can shove his piss movies up his bunghole for all I care.

You know what? Let's explore a few other possibilities, just for fun.

Apparently, there's ANOTHER less formal version of the Somali word "baad" that means "ransom". Mind you this is according to a reddit thread, so take that with a whole cup of salt. So, if we still want to say this is connected to Blackbeard in some way, maybe this movie could be about Blackbeard ransoming Vivi to Imu and the World Government? It'd be strange for that to still be a ongoing plot in 3 years time, but...maybe?

"Baad" is also the practice of giving a woman to another family to atone for crimes. Basically, a criminal's family is "fined" by giving a woman of their family to the family that was wronged. So, again, something involving Blackbeard and Vivi could make sense. Or maybe this could somehow involve Lili and Imu back in the past? Maybe this could be a "origin of slavery" in the One Piece World movie?

"Baad" can also mean "wind" in Iranian. Which could imply something involving the Storm God Fruit or maybe even Monkey D Dragon. But, that word is also associated with the concept of "Zar", which are evil wind spirits that spread disease and can possess people's bodies. And given how important various strange diseases are becoming in the story, I could see the movie being about this, somehow. Possibly involving or explaining some of the tree-borne diseases in this world. The logo COULD also look a bit like a fluffy cloud in the sky, so the movie involving "wind" somehow might be the best fit of these options.

It's also...the name of a Japanese rock band from the early 90s?! Um...that's probably not related, but maybe Oda was just a really big fan, back in the day? Oda DOES like music, and it seems to be pretty important in the story, with Binks' Sake being important. So, who knows?

So, yeah, I can't find anything definitive. But, here's a few more options to ponder.
