You know what? I'll admit that I DID indeed forget about that! There's been a lot going on on Elbaph, lately, okay?!
And Shanks DID say he was leaving to go claim the One Piece....
So, there's our excuse to book it to Laugh Tale after Elbaph is over. Because Luffy is OBSESSED with Shanks, so if he got the chance to see him again, he'd probably take it. Who knows if Oda will do that, or if there will be another arc in between. But, Oda's already set up the Strawhats going to try and race Shanks to Laugh Tale. Next arc COULD be the last arc. Or close to it, anyway.
Of course, there is a slight problem. I feel like the implication was that Loki was lying about knowing where Shanks was? I feel like, originally, the idea was that Loki was lying to Luffy, just to get free. Just because Loki isn't really THAT bad of a guy, doesn't mean he's a saint above lying. But, who knows? Maybe he actually does know. We'll see.
As for Lodestar? Well, at the moment, I'm thinking Lodestar and Laugh Tale could be a Jaya/Shandora sort of situation. One arc leading directly to the next, with both locations being pretty heavily connected to each other. Only possibly going underground, instead of going up. The best treasure is always "buried", after all. More on that over here:
