Character Discussion Why Admirals are Irelevant Story and Character-wise

#22
True
Any hope of an Admiral being the main antagonis of an arc ended in EH, Saturn and the Gorosei came and they are the villains of this saga. There is no reason for the Admirals to be the opponents of the SHs when the WG is being taken down and the villains are Imu, Gorosei and HKs.
Not related to the thread but I agree with this.
My speculation of Admirals as main antagonist just isn't possible anymore.
We got Imu faction and Blackbeard Faction both of them will have their own arc. And power level of Imu and EoS BB is not something admiral csn ever touch. Mortal limits are there.

At worst oda can make them second grade villain of the same arc. Like Cracker was to Kakatkuri, but that's batshit embarressing lmao.

Admiral fans should be happy if Oda serves them Dragon/Sabo.

What's stopping Sakazuki from being an arc villain?

It takes a special kind of lunatic to appreciate this psychopathic creature who’s laughing over the dead corpse of a friend @Blax Blah

It takes one to know one, that‘s why you can’t tell which is which
This is character and weight

This is a drunken psychopath

Or Big Meme who killed her actual children in murderous rage

But this is nothing new we already knew you were low iq incapable of critical thinking
:luuh:

Crazy to see actual people following onepiece as gospel, Oda as god and Luffy as some actual messiah
Literal degens
:donk:

Akainu and Aokiji are both on the double page spread of the major end game characters. They both started as normal admiral characters, three admirals are Akainu’s elite subordinates. Kuzan has done so much for the Blackbeard pirates, their most impactful recruitment and that is a result of his experience as a top level marine. Kizaru triggered the most traumatic experience for the Strawhats and eventually murdered Vegapunk. Fujitora has had significant impact in the world power balance just by disbanding the warlord system alone and is a high ranking marine that outright rebels against government corruption. Idk how thats irrelevant to the story.

Literally everything.
We know for sure Imu and Blackbeard will be a fight.
And both of them will enter god tier or atleast semi god tier level of strength. That's not something human can achieve.

Humans limits at the types of Whitebeard, Roger, Mihawk...

Post elbaf luffy is already stronger than Akainu what is the fuckin point of fighting him then?

Crux, you yourself don't even believe that Luffy is Yonko level. So is your entire argument just based on some idea of a hypothetical boost he's going to get at the climax of this arc?

Soupongo chan, if you think luffy is gonna stay the same. Be my guest.
Is Luffy not teaming up with Loki to optimistically, stall Imu? I don't think anyone really believes Luffy will win, and Imu is nerfed or whatever. That seems like the climax of Elbaf, pretty simply. I'm sure Luffy will be stronger at the end of the arc, but nothing game changing is being hinted at.

So that leaves an opening for a "human" villain in the future, pretty easily.

Lol. Why are you assuming this is end of imu?
This isn't final Luffy vs Imu

The Admirals are so fucking useless to the manga that they can’t even properly work as obstacles for Luffy. A Luffy vs. Admiral fight to the death, going all the way until a winner is decided, where Luffy actually gains something from it and gets closer to his dream of becoming PK (Road), or whatever the hell he wants now? We’re never getting that from an Admiral like we did with Luffy vs. Kaido and Luffy vs. the Emperors.

Luffy gains absolutely NOTHING from defeating Akainu, Kizaru, Greenbull, or Fujitora.:doffytroll::doffytroll::doffytroll:

One thing is risking your neck, your crew, and losing a lot of members and allies in a war against Kaido and Big Mom, because if you win, you take over the territories they left behind, get their treasures, get their Road Poneglyphs, and take one step closer to becoming the PK and achieving your dream.

Another thing is going to war against Akainu or any Admiral, losing military power in the process, putting your crew at risk, and then walking away from the battlefield with absolutely NOTHING to show for it. The fight contributes NOTHING to Luffy’s dream. It doesn’t move him forward in ANY way.

Beating an Emperor = Higher bounty + territory + status + treasures + Road Poneglyph + one step closer to achieving his dream
Beating an Admiral = Nothing + Losing military power in exchange for NOTHING.

Crux, that's what I'm saying. Oda is making it clear that Luffy is far from being able to really take down a "God" like Imu.

Which creates room for him to fight Sakazuki. Like how Luffy fought Katakuri in the Yonko saga, before he was ready to fight a Yonko, even if it wasn't actually Big Mom that he ended up fighting.

No it doesn't lol.
Imu and Blackbeard alresdy exists and every SH is bound to get a fight here.
There is no space of Akainu in between.

And Post elbaf is already stronger than Akainu.
