Actually that's not true. According to the Final Databook. 40% of the Ninja Alliance were Mercenaries and Bandits hired by the Daimyo's. To bolster their ranks. It was about 45-50 thousand of the Alliance were Ninjas.

We get it Naruto became world famous despite starting later but why is Oda still hell bent on hating on Naruto by prolonging his series as much as possible? What does Oda gain from this intense hatred towards his kouhai? Is this the reason why the powerscaling has gone to shit? So he can win vs battles and powerscaling debates against Naruto God tiers? While Kishimoto sits and chills knowing he owns the world, Oda is furiously writing ✍️ and failing to surpass Kishimoto. Is this why he scrapped the Yonkos?

I know this is a shounen manga, but oda just doesn't have the balls to kill of people.

Whereas in naruto there were no arc where nobody died.
The timeline of naruto from Young Sarutobi to Tsunade was 50 years of 3 great ninja wars with orphans and death all around.

Naruto barely has more deaths than One Piece if you don’t count Antagonist (who no one care if they die. When it comes to those on the protagonists there are nearly the same amount of major deaths

But Gaara death was indeed a huge impact. I won't even count that as fake put death given he was actually dead. He was reanimated.

Problem with one piece villains is that they won't dying by saving people or anything relevent in that manner. If Oda actually kills shanks I would be damned.
