I see it as Extended Plot rather than Bad Pacing.
Especially in Manga, usually Authors rushing their work.

what matters in the end is your own pleasure when you’re watching the episode

For me if there isn’t much content adaptated but the animation is great and the moments I’m waiting for are greatly adaptated then I’m good. Especially for a weekly anime.

Here I came to see Gunko and the knights fighting and it delivered on that part. Then I’m good.
