He literally contributed nothing to that. Any davy that was killed was killed by Garling. What was stopping him from making sure a 3 year old Teach died? He somehow failed that, though it's not shocking when he only decides to DR one person.....which is obviously not a good strategy.

He also conceded that it was dumb anyway, but there is still no valid reason for him to have left, anyway.

There's literally no defending this. By far the worst villain in all of OP, probably even transcends the series in that way

B. Yes, he wants to sink the world now, not 38 years ago.
So, in other words, a villain who is trapped in the past and fears his old foe...focused on eliminating descendants of old foes, which is hardly a thing unique to Imu alone.
Both being overly focused on one enemy to the point of irrationality and being overly arrogant. The latter,.we could make a book about how many villains do that.
There's literally no reason why Imu couldn't have waited for a confirmation. Why show up if you don't see your work to it's end? God Valley was a situation with a ton of pirates, that's not the only devil fruit that could allow someone to escape. Xebec can't even fly, so what happens if Teach is saved by one of the "five flying DF's". Alternatively, Imu could have simply DR'd more people.....which he canonically could have done, and which would have lead to Teach,Kuma and others dying.
I hope you don't seriously believe Imu changed his mind in 30 years. He's probably wanted to sink the world since forever. He's like 800 plus, there's no reason for him to change his mind now

....Imu DID wait though? Literally, he is still on the island when Xebec raises up his sword and brings it down to kill Eris and Teach. Then in that split moment Kuma shazams them off of the island and also himself. So Imu presumably sensed them on the island, Xebec went to kill them, then he sensed them NOT on the island a second later and assumed they were reduced to bloody paste by Xebec's attack. THEN before he left he ordered Xebec to kill everyone who remained on the island. So despite not viewing anyone as a real threat, he still made a decent effort to ensure as many up and comers died as possible, by sending his strongest available tool to get the job done.
