Powers & Abilities Why Couldn't Zoro Cut the Birdcage in Dressrosa?

The face of man that wasn't even trying and enjoyed to be used as chair, while his comrade - the reason he traveled all the way to Marineford to resque ,was about to be executed at any moment:

- Sweating heavily
- Veins popping
- Teeths crunching
- Death stare


This is almost on par with invisible seastone chains level of coping.

Why didn't Zoro try and Cut the Birdcage instead of just trying to push it?

The Birdcage pushed more slowly than everyone's movement trying to push it back, instead of just cutting everything away in swift cutting motion (Dofla's regular attacks) but it cut everything like butter anyway.

So just like how Zoro's power couldn't match King's fire-on Lunarian density/durability, this was just Zoro's limit back then in Dressrosa compared to the Bird Cage. In comparison, Luffy broke Dofla's parasite strings by merely transforming into G4, displaying superior attack power / durability feat in G4.

If Oda did not want the citizens of Dressrosa escape the birdcage, while still making the powerscaling believable, he should have made the birdcage automatically regenerate after it was cut.
So, suppose Zoro wanted to get out of the cage, he would cut it, go through it, then cage is quicky restored again.
That way, some strong individuals would be able to get out, but not the huge crowds of citizens.
This way, Doflamingo would not seem too broken, and the stakes are still there.
