Oda prefers to keep villains to use for latter even Don Krieg is currently chilling in Hachinosu and will prob have a part in the final war. Crocodile and Buffy coming back in Impel Down drastically elevated the arc and so on. Oda always has plans for his villains beyond their arc. This elevates the story more than him killing them off would

But Gaara death was indeed a huge impact. I won't even count that as fake put death given he was actually dead. He was reanimated.

Problem with one piece villains is that they won't dying by saving people or anything relevent in that manner. If Oda actually kills shanks I would be damned.

This is because they have 2 different philosophies when it comes to villains not because no one cares about Oda’s villains. Doflamingo for example has way more fans than Zabuza but his death won’t bring tears since he’s iredeemably evil.

I never mentioned Juubidara. I am recallijg the vs made back then, and people always argued how Ninjas were above human strengh and OP were several times stronger.
