Spoiler One Piece Chapter Spoiler 1192 Spoilers Discussion

29 pages, and we’re witnessing the potential final villain of the series actually fighting.
We need him back—the beast, the monster, the machine that used to put out an average of 800–1,000 pages.

Wano really was the peak of One Piece, no matter how much EVERYONE keeps denying it.

Gargoyles
Quelaag
O&S
Nito
Four Kings
Gwyn

All of these are leagues better than any base game DS2 boss. All of the DS2 bosses are low quality crap aside from Velstadt and the Looking Glass Knight, which rise to the illustrious level of being completely mid, certainly nothing on the level of peak DS1 bosses.

Like you said, it’s not just the bosses but the areas leading up to them as well. The worst DS1 area >> the best base game DS2 area. Literally the DS2 DLCs are DS2 at 99% power.

EDIT: I forgot Darklurker. Darklurker is great.
Ruin Sentinels?
Pursuer?
Throne watcher and defender?
Rotten?
Sinner
Flexile
Smelter

Nito is a dogshit bossfight, after you find a way to cheese the cancer skeletons you gotta deal with two attacks, an aoe that you simply run away from, and a horizontal swipe that misses you anyway 99% of the just spam r1 and run

Gargoyles are whatever, they good but how are they better than ruin sentinels or pursuer lol
Quelaag O&S and 4kings I included as one of the few good boss fights in ds1

please Imu, kill usopp, just to our hapiness, just to make us laugh for something
We actually do need one of these moments in OP. The closest we have is WB losing Ace going berserk.

DBZ saw Frieza blow up Krillin in front of Goku triggering SSJ.

Naruto I can't remember clearly. Kakashi and Gaara were already dead by the time Naruto reached them.

Oda could easily kill Usopp, triggering Gear 6 and with Luffys new God powers he could likely resurrect Usopp somehow. But not before kicking Imus ass.

Conqueror of the Stars
The same enemy copy and pasted 3 times completely pointlessly that later appears as a standard mob in Drangleic Castle. It’s just the same enemy copy and pasted for no reason at all.

Just a generic swordsman with a generic predictable moveset. Speaking of bosses that take zero iq, you just read his hilariously telegraphed basic sword swings and dodge, his moveset is uninspired and it takes no skill to beat him.

Throne watcher and defender?
Uninspired move sets, like a shittier clone of O&S that you will probably beat on your first try. Their animations are so bland and forgettable, their saving grace is that you will kill them before they bore you to death.

These two bosses are unironic ugly slop with no mechanics at all. Truly F tier bosses for me.

Mid on the best of days, just a generic enemy with a health bar slapped on. The fact that they are two enemies combined doesn’t really change the way you fight them, you just dodge their telegraphed attacks and poke them in the rear. Nothing crazy.

Truly rises to the level of peak DS2 mediocrity, the Smelter Demon is truly one of those bosses that goes in the B tier when I’m in a good mood. More generic sword attacks with ugly animations, but it at least gets kind of not really interesting when he starts slowly draining your health.

Already you have described more depth than any DS2 base game boss. Lol

The trick with Nito is learning how to manage the many mobs he throws at you, and all of his moves are built around that idea. Nito is somewhat of a gimmick boss built around the idea of managing weak enemies in large numbers. How can you say the Pursuer or the Flexile Sentry have that much depth going for them lmfao. Also, Nito’s lore, aesthetics, presentation, and animations are all S tier. Nito is still a gorgeous boss in 2026, DS2 bosses were as ugly as my butthole even when the game launched.

Darklurker is amazing but that runback makes me drop a few points

How is that different to gargoyles are their 3 telegraphed attacks
Ruin sentinels look cooler and pose an actual challenge

Just a generic swordsman with a generic predictable moveset. Speaking of bosses that take zero iq, you just read his hilariously telegraphed basic sword swings and dodge, his moveset is uninspired and it takes no skill to beat him
He serves his purpose as an early boss, pretty cool moveset
The fact these bosses appear as mobs later is not a problem
You literally encounter a dozen capra and taurus demons in ds1
Gargoyles too 🤡

Uninspired move sets, like a shittier clone of O&S that you will probably beat on your first try. Their animations are so bland and forgettable, their saving grace is that you will kill them before they bore you to death.
O&S is definitely the cooler fight but the buggy ornstien charges dont speak well, janky unpredictable crap

Sinner with no mechanics? You just talking shit
Rotten‘s arena is pretty dope, I also like the fact you can cut off his arms
Spacing his swipes consistently is pretty satisfying

You actually never fought flexile if you think that lmao
The swordsman is a loot harder to deal with, it’s not even close

Smelter demon is as badass a boss can get lol

The trick to Nito is not be retarded and wake the mob up
You just run when there’s aoe then go back and spam r1 until next aoe🤣

Gargoyles you hit tail, stun them and 5 seconds later it’s dead
Taurus janky unga bunga crap
Capra is absolute dogshit
Iron giant is a retard with janky hitbox and dumb cheese
And the first part is the playable part somehow
Post anor londo ds1 is so so bad lol, the fact lost izalith is a required area is crazy by itself
Quelaag O&S and 4kings are pretty much the only good base game fights

Remember IMU vs Luffy Loki has to end after the wings. Ussop is gonna most likely be put to near death or possibly temporarily die (so don't think he is getting ragnir) for Luffy to take shit seriously.

@Elder Lee Hung @SakazOuki @TheKnightOfTheSea

As someone who has played all of the games, pre Bloodborne significantly more focus went into the levels/world design than the bosses, it’s only Bloodborne (and kind of its DLC tbh) where the bosses and their mechanics start to get more focused on.

In Demon’s Souls bosses take 1-3 attempts but you have the ENTIRE LEVEL as a runback. It’s the opposite design philosophy of Elden Ring/DS3/Sekiro where there’s a save point right outside a boss room but you may be stuck on the boss itself for a few hours.

DS1 vs DS2 is more about which game has better levels/combat/exploration/atmosphere/enemies/etc than about the bosses because both are pretty mid.

People were crying Hajrudin broke Oda's powerscaling even though this makes perfect sense lol. He just pushed Imu and did a 3 man combo attack that did less dmg than fucking Kinemon on Kaido.
