Bringing Imu in Elbaf had no other sense outside of showing him stomping everyone

Even if he is weakened outside of MJ, with this display the EOS threat lvl is almost gone

At this point better go full force with Blackbeard as FV :kayneshrug:
He’s fighting the combined might of Luffy and Loki? Did yall think Luffy was going to somehow massively outscale that combo?

I miss gear 2 Luffy because Gear 3, 4, and 5 took tension away from the story.

In fact, so did gear 2 Luffy.

I think base gearless Luffy has the most aura

His fights with random bears in the woods were the best fights in the story!

I think Luffy will take Gabans words about taking the world seriously to heart especially since it mirrored what he did to Shanks.

This chapter just has Luffy learning that if he and Loki combine their strength they may stand a chance against Imu.
Would be awesome if so but Usopp's is quite literally telling us that Luffy will be Luffy and don't give a toss about destiny and all of that jazz.
Hell even the way Oda wrote round 2 is so ass. What exactly changed for Luffy btw round 1 and round 2.
Mindset did not change, he didn't get an epiphany on how to beat Imu either he's just jumping a Imu that decided to job all of a sudden together with Loki and will most likey still get his ass kicked again only to end up being saved by "destiny" for the nth time.

I genuinely thought the Chadmirals were going to save One Piece after Wano. 💀
Wano was alive as hell. Spoiler threads were casually hitting 800 to 1,100 pages. Then we got Egghead... and Elbaf somehow managed to completely kill the forum. 😭
And the funniest part? We’re literally watching what might be the final villain of the entire series throw hands right now. LMAO.
The Chadmirals were supposed to save the post-Wano era, but instead the forum died before they could even clock in. 💀
Imagine telling someone during Wano that we’d eventually reach the final saga, have the possible final boss fighting, world-shaking lore drops happening, and the spoiler threads would be this dead.
Wano really was the last breath of the agenda. 😭

... I think you guys think this story is more popular than it really is.

When you look at discussions on Reddit, Discord, and forums like this, there's actually almost nobody ever speaking and some of them like Thrillerbarkforums became ghost towns.

On spoiler days, we tend to have 20 online members: 23,000 bots

I don't think Luffy is actually going to change his approach to anything. Oda wants Luffy to appear as though he's working through a flaw to justify his upcoming power growth. If that growth happens without being anchored to a genuine low point, it won't feel earned. It'll just feel like a trick.

Luffy is Luffy. Authors don't tend to change aspirational heroes. I wouldn't expect anything more than a moment where Luffy verbalizes some kind of "growth" or change in mentality, if even that, but ultimately, it won't amount to anything fundamentally new. He's been through these ruts before and always came out the other side victorious by simply being himself.

Gaban isn't telling Luffy, "Don't turn into a Genie, son" because Oda is never going to stop drawing whatever he want's. That's all that was. It wasn't a failure on Luffy's part, it was Oda having fun. All Gaban is telling Luffy is to do better. It's a broad statement, "just be better". But if you believe that Luffy's version of "better" is going to look like some fundamental change in his personality or approach, then no. That's not what I expect.

I think you’re misunderstanding usopps words, well need the full speech to confirm but it sounds to me like Gaban is saying they need to escape, it’s not the right time for this fight to occur. And Usopp is saying they don’t care about timing set up by Joyboy or Nika or even Roger himself. This isn’t about gods and devils to them, it’s not about destiny. It’s about Luffy wanting to fight for his friends and they’ll take down anyone who holds back Luffys freedom to do that.

Mindset hasn’t changed yet, this chapter just establishes that to Luffy, destiny has nothing to do with this fight. This is personal and Luffy will keep fighting because of that.

The mindset change from Gabans words will occur later in the fight probably right before the very end of it when Loki is fighting in his hybrid form with Luffy and him trying to figure out how to truly win. And that’s when Luffy will take Gabans words to heart and grow further.

Nah Usopp just got the W. Gaban's only chance was when Luffy asked who Imu was but he gave an answer that didn't work at all

I hear ya and the way you're tryna rationalize it prolly makes sense in a vaccum but not in the current situation imo.
This man was about to get merked 3 chapters or so ago:pepemy:.
Luffy wanting to fight to the death for Elbaph is fine, but then fight to the death and stop relying on destiny to save your ass.
Also rich for Usopp to be flapping is gums when he has absolutely no power to move the needle. "Take down anyone who holds back Luffy's freedom" lol. Square up with Imu then broski :risitameh:
Whole Usopp line just really annoys me personally. Feels like we went backwards when we should've been going forwards.
I have no faith in Luffy changing if Oda's going out of his way to shoehorn Usopp with this fuckery here now at this timing but we shall see.

Touché

Mr, I know you’re saying that because of Rocks’ agenda, but Hakai literally means “destruction,” and translated as Haki, it’s pure Haki juice.

Hakai is way stronger than Garp and Roger’s strongest attacks combined.
Nah, they didn't use anywhere close to their full haki reserves otherwise they would be on the ground.

An attack may seem more destructive, but it doesn't mean it's the stronger attack.

King Punch looks a lot more powerful than so many ACOC attacks, but it really isn't.
