Controversial Oda and his glazers to his true fans "We won't forgive you"

#1
This is another of those chapters where Oda uses with the sole reason to reply the criticism he is receiving at the community by his true fans, people who wants the best for him and One Piece unlike the glazers who worship only the shit he does to make him fall and put current One Piece on the level of DBS and Boruto.

This is a clear message of Oda and his glazers that they won't ever forgive the true fans to point out Oda flaws and mistakes in order to make him a better author, artist and person.

This is Oda attempt to put an end into the debate whether Luffy was doing better against him than he did against Gorosei although Luffy needed only one punch to realize he shouldn't be punching Topman again. So yeah this backfires heavily putting Topman as a candidate to be considered stronger than Imu

This is Oda attempt to put an end on the very famous Luffy weakness, swords/cuts/slashes. But it backfires heavily since those are the ones from supposedly final villain using Omen (some kind of devilish haki?) and not being able to cut Luffy into pieces while Kaido did a better job with hakiless wind cuts.

This is the most embarrassing part. Oda choose the one who we expected the most in this arc yet did barely to nothing and used him as some kind of X comment section replier. So first of all Usopp is trying yo justify the mere existence of this arc (a direct response to me) because there is no clear objective in here. There is no reason for all that is happening to happen. Usopp justifies why they are not escaping but forgets he did escaped the very arc before leaving behind a bunch of Vegapunks that helped them, specially Franky, including the one they swore to protect and Sentomaru. Then he hits again to make sure Luffy is still Luffy and not possessed or anything and is always serious despite his clearly mood change since awakening specially during fights. And try to justify Luffy being arrested to the idea he owns giants something with freedom somehow.

And here is Oda saying "fuck you all this is my manga and I will have protagonist fighting however I want even if it makes no fucking sense and is not even funny as I claim to be!"

You guys are having emotional breakdowns every week lol

1. Luffy running away
You're somewhat correct that Luffy makes getaways, but that's not necessarily the same thing. The Vegapunk satellites were aware of Luffy's intentions, and helped him leave.

2. Gear 5 lets Luffy be more free
Freedom as a trait was already Luffy's thing, the awakening just allowed him to embody it intensely. He didn't really change, he just became more himself. When Oda described what happens if a Human eats a Human fruit, they become more Human. It's like Luffy ate a Luffy fruit and when it awakened he just became more Luffy.

3. Usopp could still do something
Luffy and everybody else with him is in immediate danger of being caught in the fight with Imu including Usopp, this suggests Usopp is going to take action of his own that may change the combat dynamics. He might not wield Ragnir, I was never really a fan of that idea, but he could do something. It might take some creative thinking to figure out what, though.

Lmao I was about to make the same thread in reverse. Glad to see there is still some media literacy in you. Well, not enough, but that's another problem haha

Indeed. This is a direct message from Oda. A form of kind "F you". But not to his real fans. Rather the people, like you, who completely corrupted their reading experience to the point you are not able to understand the story no more and reason with something else than your illegitimate expectations.

Usopp's said it better:

Here I will be talking to everyone on this forum:

If you are ready to ignore 1000 chapter of a story to fullfill your edgy expectations of a story, you can go to the next island, we won't miss ya. And seems like Oda has finally had enough with you all (at least, if that is actually him sending a message, because it is still possible that it is not)

You lost the moral right to criticize the story the moment you stopped trying to even enjoy it for what it is instead of what you wanted it to be

You don't want One Piece ? You are too lazy to dive into it's deepness and analyze or criticize it correctly? Fine, it goes both ways. Reject Luffy's freedom, reject the possibility of an author challenging you with things that goes beyond the tropes you are usually fed up with... and the One Piece fanbase will make due without you.

Enough is enough.

You heard the Straw-hats. Let freedom speak, or get the F out of the way.

  1. Luffy eas initially getting away to save Vegapunk. Once he died he just ran away like a coward. He didn't even knew Vegapunk was "alive". I don't consider him alive. His main body is dead.
  2. If he needs G5 to be free than he never was before. There is no such thing as more free. You either free or not. He is in a food jail because of G5. Everything is food related now.
  3. Usopp is now using his talking haki. Great something for him to do.

Dude you don't even like true One Piece. You just try to fit everything in your political agenda.

Or Imu is simply not as strong as people thought he was.

And sword attacks can be blocked, it was always the case since haki introduction. Nothing new here.
This is a valid argument but you have to agree everything being shown makes no sense. How Sanji, Zoro couldn't even react to Imu's attacks. How easily he injuries Luffy. He even was able to beat Gaban and Loki. And please don't bring any "he was nerf" argument because Oda nerfs everyone.

Imu isn't nerfed at all and is going all out. I won't use such a lame excuse.

Oda was just hyping Imu at first but once the hype chapters are done, the powers he used before won't work the same way. Think of it like CP9, they had their techniques that were very efficient when introduced in W7 and not as effective in Enies Lobby.

Imu has some good hax, mainly his regen and Omen barrier, but outside of that he is not on a tier of his own.

i know i tend to make an ass of my self sometimes, typically on purpose, but even i could never imagine writing essays to defend a grown man who doesn't even know i exist and only sees me as another notification on his cashapp at most
that's just the epitome of having no self respect whatsoever

Imagine if Madara say Hashirama wasnt this weak then get humiliated like this afterward.

:risitameh:

Hopefully for Imu that he show Perfect Susano level hype afterward and negg the opposition before timelimit kick in (same way madara edo sudenly got cancelled which saved the 5 kages after itachi forced kabuto to release the dead armies) or its over for this manga.
