Current Events Elbaph Ranking so far

I haven’t really been hooked on Elbaph the island yet, feels like there was no real exploration of the island.
the knights of gods also do not get treated well, instead like shit, most of part 1. So no sense of danger or hype.
flashback was serviceable and even good at times but didn’t do anything spectacular.
Part 2 of Elbaph started good with Imu but now he’s feeling very underwhelming as a presence and each chapter is more or less the same thing

I actually think the first third of arc was good. Loki's introduction is memorable and he gets plenty of solid scenes nearly from the get-go; the mystery surrounding what happened at the castle is at least okay; Gaban finally gets to shine; the Harley / mural chapter is likely the best One Piss chapter in years; Imu coming to Elbaph (even if via Gunko) was decently hype at that point in time. 4/5 seems deserved.
The big flashback deserves a grade of ~4.5 for non-GV stuff and like 3.5 for the GV incident itself. So the best I can give it is 4.
After the big flashback everything is a mess. The Domi Reversi resolution was downright abysmal; the child kidnapping plot can't be made legit exciting with the greatness of Summers alone; Brook's flashback was alright in itself but disrupted the pace for no good reason + it ended too abruptly; Imu's introduction was cool but we all know where that went, so yeah... 3 is currently what I'd give it at best and the way things are looking this grade isn't likely to rise. Maybe it'll end up at 2 lmao.

I rate Manga by Volumes, and each Volume is judged based on what it represents respecting context and it's time of release.

It's a 4 Stars Arc so far imo, if the Ending is Excellent, then it can turn it into a Five.
