Imu could have fought Loki in his tiny form or his giant form, he chose his giant form. By definition bigger is always better.

Thats why Luffy finished Kaido with an island sized fist and not a booger level attack like Imu used when he one shot Gabum

Luffy will get the powerup as expected, everything is going according to the script. He’s way below nerfed 1 HP Loki and needs this asspull powerup to catch up. Loki will nerf Imu first btw

Yeah the HK pact and Omen is carrying him.

But when it comes to the sword, it's not that the sword is increasing his powers, it's the other way around.

Replace Sommers with someone else that don't have as much rage to put into gram, the sword wouldn't be as powerful.

Considering Gram's ability is related to Wrath based off it's name, then Loginus being the Spear of Holy Command might be themed around "Authority". Spear itself is said to make it's wielder invicible in myth so will be mad if it's an inevitable spear of sorts that cannot be evaded for example.
