Zeff was watching Luffy getting hurt against Don Krieg in order to break Krieg's defenses, so it fits if Sanji can't keep dodging (or can't dodge) the spear at all cuz it means he will have to break through it using "his spear" (shattering the Longinus i believe)

Yeah I think a spear that bends and tracks to guarantee hits feels like a proper gimmick for a Sanji fight
