I would be a happy man if that would be the case, but I have a hard time seeing it.
He's the god of imagination, but the form itself is still linked to his heartbeat, which is a physical cause and the reason why he got that energy consumption drawback in the first place, right?
In that sense G5 is basically full body G2 2.0. I don't know how he could get rid of it other than changing the heartbeat, which would lead to a hybrid type of form I guess, or using it partial again.
Under that aspect it's going to be interesting to see which route Oda will take.

its simply but badly explained by Oda, Gaban said "Haki is only a Power that is useful when you consciously use it" which is basically why Zoros attack even while having coc its the useless version of coc because he does not know what it is. he thinks its just Haki that why he is nerfed. now he just has to connect the points and will jump Tiers in Power basically
You just need to destroy the heart with COC. Thats like saying they have Luffy level CoC because Luffy didn't destroy Sommers heart. Zoro is trying to bring out ACoC without being in KOH which overused his haki. He trying to do ACoC naturally with going all out. He didnnt even know KOH is ACoC. Zoro after this will be able to do ACoC on no nane slashes now and whenever.

Gaban and Shanks didn't know about needing to destroy HKs' hearts to kill em. So no, from Gaban's perspective he wasn't asking Loki to kill Harald cos he was too pussy to do it himself (terrible argument btw), he genuinely thought Harald was completely immortal.
Also, Harald regained his senses against Loki and completely lowered all his defenses, giving Loki a free hit.
The saddest part is old Gaban genuinely has similar if not greater AP feats than current base Loki + Ragnir because he caused the most damage to Imu. Meaning a closer to prime Gaban certainly would've had higher AP than a Loki who just obtained Ragnir and didn't even know what CoC was. So AP definitely wasn't the issue.
