So all this time he's basically been wasting all his haki for no reason thinking he was using CoA and accidentally leaking CoC.

But now that he's not leaking CoC he's somehow gotten a speed boost (??) and is currently mid-way through a power-up, except he's still not using CoC (or using it correctly) so why is he stronger now? Cos he's fighting more efficiently? Not just a little stronger either — this halfway version of Zoro with one sword is significantly stronger than the version of Zoro whose KOH DD got swatted. Which makes no sense.

Oda's a confirmed fraud atp. At least once Zoro gets this he should be solid Admiral level.

He didn’t get a speed boost. And he’s not stronger now he just didn’t come in contact with Gram which is the only actual threat in this fight.

I was wrong to predict the complete annihilation of Elbaph's warrior (and in retrospect, how would the character even recover that), Nah, I think this event acts more like a warning shot for the straw-hats. Especially for Luffy. This is perhaps more alike the war before the WAR.

I'm interested to see how Loki and Luffy will be able to tank what will be probably the last attack of Imu. Hope nothing darker happens, Usopp is there, I feel like there is a potential dramatic moment incoming (positive or negative, idk)

I mean the literally only reason Sommers and Killingham are alive is because Zoro and Sanji are using them to try and learn how to coat their attacks in CoC. Making your opponents training dummy’s never feels good

They are not really "opponent" tho. They are the remnant of already defeated opponent, boosted by the breath of the big bad.

While it is true that one could predict a significant upgrade, they were already much weaker than both strawhats, so they can't really be exceptionnal now. This is quite clever in fact because the tension doesn't really disappear. It is transfered to the presence of Imu, the impact of Zoro's and Sanji's fights are more personnal. It's all introspection.

Exactly. Zoro struggles a lot to be stronger (he is always anxious and harsh on himself by design) he tends to undermine his own power quite often, so he is not the best at channeling it toward the right direction.
