Chapter Discussion Time to accept it for what it is: Enma forced out Zoro's conqueror haki and sped up his growth

#81
I agree. I said it before. Zoro at one point vs King literally said "how can I use that power"

Emma has a curse, which needed him to recognize his conquers power otherwise kill him

Oden was an AdvCoA master

why would he be shocked by a lesser version of CoA thsn he knew… you remember that oden taught the scabbards Level 3 Penetration CoA… And yet you think k he was shocked by Level 2 Barrier CoA?
Any evidence Oden had the no touch version version of CoA before that WB vs Roger clash? And there are two levels of that aka barrier and infusion.

Yes Wano swordmen are known for having that power but we don't know if Oden did since we've never seen him no touch with either barrier, infusion CoA or even Coc.

The visuals are too inconsistent depending on fighting styles in this story and nothing is ever explained.

Hmm.. i am kinda ok with that but 1st you need to explain these @Ven437 :-

1- First Enma interaction only caused CoA to leak more than needed.

2- The second time the same situation when Zoro was training in the woods.

3- Every other situation Zoro was using Enma there was no indication of CoC.
---- When Zoro used Tatsumaki on Kaido he did cut him to save Luffy but there wasn't a big deal about it since i think its compared to what the scabbards did to Kaido.

4- Asura was the 1st time CoC was mentioned and in this scenario Zoro claimed "i put all my might into it".

5- Finally when Zoro was struggling with Enma and was thinking what to do. He again goes putting all he has to his swords which casued the CoC burst to knocking out the fodders.

So my understanding here is Enma is the reason Zoro had to use "everything" which resulted in CoC being used. And not that Enma forced it out of him.
In the instances you mentioned where only CoA was pulled, Zoro deactivated Enmas power immediately upon noticing the drain on the shoreline.

Then on the rooftop Zoro was specifically limiting how much Enma was allowed to drain “I need to unleash this Enma a bit more”

Then the first time CoC was alluded to was Asura where Zoro specifically stated he wasn’t holding anything back. In doing so, Enma was allowed to drain out some CoC.

Finally, the fodder scene was when Zoro specifically stopped holding back Enma and gave it unrestrained access to his haki. Causing CoC to leak out as Enma was draining everything.

The 1st time Zoro didn't deactivate Enma right away.. surely you remember how it made his arm so thin. Everyone was shocked and the smoke i think indicates excessive release.. yet no CoC was seen or mentioned.

If your interpretation is that Zoro never allowed Enma to draw much haki which resulted in no CoC seen until Asura then.. how is that a proof ? the likely scenario that it didn't actually draw CoC but rather needed CoC in order to be tamed?

Also i do believe Zoro unleashed Enma before Asura.. The Dragon Blaze Attack that actually made an impression by Kaido and BM. But no CoC was mentioned.

Now going into the King's fight.. Enma acted up many times and it also made Zoro's hand thin too. During all of these events King never once commented on CoC except when Zoro actually applied it.

So we can assume that King's knows CoC too well and since he never mentioned it before then there was no hint of it being sucked out of Zoro.

Don't get me wrong here i think Enma was crucial for Zoro to use CoC because it has put him to the edge. But there was no scenario that actually showed proof that Enma takes out CoC from users.

You’re literally arguing that Enma does this automatically For Zoro… But you admit it didn’t do this for Oden, FOR 30 YEARS?
No? I am saying Oden was in the same boat as Zoro and whenever he maxed out Enma it was also taking his CoC. Oden was also stronger than Zoro at the time he met WB, so he was prob never pushed as hard as Zoro vs King, but he was still knowledgeable about having CoC, he had a CoC leak clash with him (like Luffy vs Doffy) but not ACoC. Oden never learned to do it himself or to master it until after sailing with Roger when he started seeing it more in combat (or he was taught)

Again you keep lying as if you can find a single panel in the manga that proves that Enma can affect CoC for either Oden or Zoro
Lmfao bro YOU the one making 10 threads a day coping about why Oda did this and that when Zoro already showed ACoC :suresure: Enma did it or at least enabled it for Zoro up until Sommers, why else would he be fucking wondering how to coat CoC now

Hmm.. i am kinda ok with that but 1st you need to explain these @Ven437 :-

Since somebody else already answered most of this before me I'm just gonna address your main crux of "Zoro gave everything he got causing him to use CoC"

No no no. Just cuz Zoro brought out CoC DOESNT MEAN HE CAN IMBUE IT. That was my entire point of the first half of OP, coating CoC into your attacks is so hard even awakened fruit users and advanced haki users (CoO) can't do it

Zoro has been leaking CoC this whole time. Luffy confirms it. Whether this was before or after Enma dont matter cuz that alone doesnt grant you ACoC usage on your own

Enma is the instrument that channeled his CoC to flow across his blades. That is what KoH is and why you see the characteristic ACoC trails in it. Zoro allowed Enma to pull out so much haki it pulled out his CoC too. This is in line with everything we know about Enma mechanics

Luffy literally "ran out of haki" in Dressrosa with G4 and had to recover. That was his CoA only. Putting all your might into a single attack or form doesnt mean shit for imbuing CoC, it is a generally a skill issue. But the exception is when Enma pulls it out for Zoro and channels it across his weapons

It's really not that complicated, it's a pretty conventional Shonen powerup. Oda's story isn't technical so it doesn't even really have to make sense. Anything can be rationalized by saying "Enma has a will of it's own, so what it did or didn't do in a particular situation is based on it's will"

Will Oda ever explain what Enma having a will or the Nika fruit having a will means? Obviously not. It's just a get out of jail card for him.

Valid point and a very good interpretation. So its not like Enma pulls it out by default which what most of us thinks. And if that is the case then its the same argument but different perspective.

But there is another unknown factor here which is Asura itself.

IF and a BIG if Asura turns out to be CoC aka AdvCoC technique by itself. Then that should explain how "Putting all my might into that attack" which was Asura makes the argument how that it wasn't Enma that pulled out CoC but Zoro somehow using it 3 times made it easier to channel "everything".

but either way i don't see much difference in your scenario than mine.

Oda, in his stroke of epileptic genius, created one of the most convoluted and horribly inconsistent power systems of all great shonen, haki. Even worse, he decided to turn a cool concept like conqueror's haki into armanent haki 2.0, with visual cues that leave readers arguing about crayon scribbles like illiterate toddlers for days

Conqueror's haki is wielded by one in a million. Within a fraction of that, only a handful of strongest can imbue it, which fandom calls ACoC

CoC users like Doflamingo, Katakuri, Chinjao spent their entire 40+ yrs not learning how to imbue CoC. Sanji is just barely learning he has CoC, let alone try ACoC. Does that make them weak dumbasses? No, it just shows how downright HARD it is to learn ACoC. So hard that rulers and awakened users go their whole lives unable to do mold that burst of CoC onto their fists. Even the earliest we see Roger, a fighting genius with no haki mentor, using it is at the age of 32

Zoro however, found a shortcut to that in the form of Enma. Enma which sucks ALL the haki that a user has. For Zoro, who always had CoC within him, Enma unleashed his CoC and coursed it across his blades

That's why he's only been using ACoC during King of Hell, the mode where Zoro lets Enma have full reign over his haki. Technically he is, but he is not at the same time. He's imbuing CoC but it's Enma that channels it for him, not himself

Now against Sommers, he is finally LEARNING how to imbue CoC on his own, without the need for Enma but thanks to KoH, he's got the intuition. That means he will be able to use it outside of KoH, and start getting creative with shit too. His KoH will no doubt be amped when he unleashes more CoC than Enma would normally take

In the New World where shit gets merciless without warning, getting Enma was Zoro's greatest stroke of luck in his journey. He doesn't have affinity for CoC + massive plot armor like Luffy does, who had to fight ACoC users and nearly died doing it. Zoro was able to skip those 10-20+ extra years and avoid becoming the next Doffy, get straight to the point and let him defeat Mihawk 20 years sooner in time for Oda, his wife, and Sanji's VA to finally go travel the world when the manga ends

oh look a lanji wank thread Ha already explained it but how can you explain Lanji being a wielder of CoC when not a single soul in his family carries a sliver of CoC and all siblings were negged by kat simultaneously while judge was negged by BM, even Bege had a better showcase alongside Jimbei of being a conqueror remember when Lanji left his crew, fough against his defenseless captain while using all of his named attacks just to only knock out a tooth where even then Luffy had enough energy to give the entire army a run for their money
CoC:
  • Qualities of a king: Only people with the ambition and willpower of a ruler can unlock it. (lanji literally has zero of those the best we got was Mr. Prince supremacy if this was that same pre-TS lanji I would back the legitamcy of him unlocking base CoC)
but anywho yeah enma was clearly explained and it does not force CoC, CoC is a lone specialty that can not be learned or taught only controlled after "awakening" & from what we've seen/shown is it comes subconsciously through sheer unwavering will mainly during life or death, Ace used it to save Sabo/Luffy, Luffy used it to save the sisters/ace, Zoro used it to save Luffy, Woki used it to save Harald/Elbaph now all of a sudden we are getting retconned and now it can simply be learned just for lanjis sake to be able to come close to hanging with zoro

but this is also why Zoro has had a hard time actually grasping it, Luffy was taught the very basic core of CoC since he already showcased the ability of wielding
Enma doesnt do any of that
We have a clear expalnation in 955
It just uses its holders COA

there is never a panel where enma alone takes coc

Youre literally showing a panel where zoro talks about releasing all HIS HAKI
also to add as shown through luffys over usage of CoC if Enma actually drained Zoros CoC he would/should have the same drawback as Luffy does so why doesnt he? cause it isnt draining CoC.

Luffy awakened CoC against a fucking bull lmao not to save Ace or the Kuja.
