I find it interesting how we hate and meme on Dragon's lack of action. When Whitebeard was doing the same with Teach during years and let Ace search for him on his own. This even during the War for Ace's rescue, he only moved at the very very end when he was stabbed by one of his own.

At the time "Whitebeard isn't making any move, it's odd" was in the text -- characters were saying it. As for Dragon, no one in the manga mentions it, only us through reading comprehension. But we're not entirely wrong about it.

Now let's do some mental gymnastics about Dragon and let's defend him:

Dragon is the leader of the Revolutionnary army. His founder. If he is captured/killed, it's the whole movement that dies. Hence why he can't make bold moves YET. Just like Newgate at the war. He must make a move at last resort only. Inside he is fighting against his Monkey D personality that pushes him to do dumb stuff. He took his time for decades to establish his army over the seas. He has overcome himself and is now a stoician, not epicurian like Garp and Goofy.


Where do you think Dragon must sit his ass in the power-level tree to get his hype back ?
