Then you had Crocodile, another Logia.
Then you had Enel, another Logia.
Then you had Aokiji, another logia
Then you had Lucci with his iron body defense
You had Kuma with his very hard body.
Then you had Kizaru, another logia.
Marineford's main enemies were 3 logias.

Oda always liked this intouchable, invincible gimmick, so he is just doing what he always did.
Except in the post timeskip, he took a break from logias (regenerations) and switched to endurance/durablity based gimmicks.
Doflamingo could heal himself (endurance)
Big Mom and Kaido were durablity/endurance monsters, and even their crews.
Katakuri could seemingly "tank armament attacks".

Recently now he switched back to regeneration in the form of Holy Knights and Imu.
Though Imu has it all:
Regeneration, durablity, endurance.
Imu is a culmination of all previous villains

Honestly I feel that it was just dumb to overhype him like that in the first place.

Should have just compensated by making him unkillable but with limitations (super dura but worse at other stats), or just straight up not have him be unkillable but make him just be strong.

But I guess he wanted to hype up G5's first victim the way Frieza and Jiren served as hype fuel for SSJ and UI.
