Something isn't bad because it doesn't do what you expect them to do, or think is the most ideal. Most Naruto fans enjoy at least a few Akatsuki members,and the community generally likes every member except for maybe Zetsu or Konan. Arcs focused on the akatsuki are some of the most liked in the series.

I never had expectations for the Holy Knights either, but Oda pretty much just used them to waste time on Elbaf in the early chapters. Legitimately, it's hard to argue that anything before Imu arrived in the present time on Elbaf was even relevant.

The annoying thing is, the plan almost did actually work without a hitch. Granted, that was because the Monster Trio were at the Underworld, but before the Xebec flashback, they had the kids, heroes were subdued and Jarul was going to burn down the library and school. It's just annoying because they're goobers who rely on a magic sugar daddy.

The annoying thing is, the plan almost did actually work without a hitch. Granted, that was because the Monster Trio were at the Underworld, but before the Xebec flashback, they had the kids, heroes were subdued and Jarul was going to burn down the library and school. It's just annoying because they're goobers who rely on a magic sugar daddy.

Well yeah, the villains in any series can usually get away with their plans if the actual main characters don't get involved. Beating up chained up opponents, kids and fodder isn't that impressive. The only really "impressive" achievement is taking down Gaban with a hostage I guess. After that Oda basically took Gunko off team evil, which makes it even worse.

Without ACoC, Zoro is turning SUPER SOMMERS into a damn punching bag, man. This guy got TWO freaking POWER-UPS.

A much, much weaker version of this guy was able to temporarily defend himself against Gaban, who was literally GOING ALL OUT against him. Gaban was using ACoC, while Zoro can't even use it here, and he's still absolutely humiliating a stronger version of Sommers.

This is how King was treating the same version of Zoro that's now humiliating SUPER SOMMERS...
Meanwhile, a weaker version of Sommers was still able to defend himself against Gaban.

When someone doesn’t understand anything about power scaling, it really does get difficult.

This guy was fighting the weaker version of Sommers, while Zoro is running circles around SUPER SOMMERS after two power-ups, without even using ACoC.

He’s not even fighting at full power.

Serious Gaban using ACoC vs a weaker version of Sommers = Sommers could still defend himself temporarily.

Nerfed Zoro without ACoC vs SUPER SOMMERS after TWO POWER-UPS = Zoro is absolutely destroying him without even using ACoC.

Zoro WITHOUT ACoC is already performing better than fucking GABAN WITH ACoC, against the exact same guy, except now he’s WAY, WAY stronger than he was when he fought Gaban, and Zoro is still making it look easy.



I don’t even want to imagine what Zoro will look like once he fully masters ACoC.

Myself, I'm a bit unsure if Gunko actually will be freed of the Covenant at the end of the arc, but that's neither here nor there.
