I'm not gonna lie I have zero expectations for Sommers, I just don't see how Oda ends this fight next chapter considering Sommer's getting merked here is gonna negatively affect Imu's HP and that fight isn't really demanding that atm.

So either Sommers is trolling and the heart is a redherring (unlikely but Sommers does love to see others despair) or Omen has given his heart some sort of self-defence that even he isn't aware of that ends up saving his dumbasss or something else throws a wrench in the works in this fight.

Need to wait for the translation but it looks like Zoro attacked Sommers with KoH (black lightning + smoke) multiple times and he still regenerated instantly.

Maybe coating swords in CoC and having CoC emanate from the swords are two different things (even though Oda is too bum to visually distinguish them) or maybe KoH is an incomplete form of coating but either way Zoro has clearly gotten stronger imo.
