This fight to me just shows you that Oda really sucks at handling characters with immortality.

He thinks that because the character has immortality regen, the character should get constantly cut apart every time their in a fight.

Like we get they can regen, but that doesn't mean they need to get sliced up all the time during a fight to showcase their regen.

This is a similar problem we had with Saturn during the Egghead arc.

The fight is still not over, so I'm still going to cope and hold out any little hope I have left for Sommers.

If Sommers gets taken down without either pushing Zoro back or showing some interesting impressive feat, then what the fuck was the point of the omen boost from Imu?

Like why give Sommers this power up, if he isn't going to show something impressive or push Zoro back.

It's literally the mind set. Like Obito not dodging attacks but only going intangible. Or Nnoitra from Bleach tanking attacks because he thinks his Skin is hard enough to not be scratched.

The only reason why Oda is having Sommers use gram, is so Sommers can use a sword during his fight against Zoro.

Peter doesn't really need to use a weapon when fighting against Sanji.

I doubt any gorosei would ever fight without their family heirloom but it is not impossible I guess. It is highly unlikely imo

To be honest, with how Sommers told us about Ancient Kings Sword.
It seems Imu "Ressurecting" Gram with Omen.
So even if Zoro breaks Gram, Ju Peter could still be using Gram again.
