There is a very thin line between being funny and being ridiculous. That line has been crossed with this chapter sadly. Hopefully Killingham will prove to be a worthy opponent. Sommers has been defeated by CoC twice already (Gaban and Luffy). Perhaps regeneration is finally taking its toll

Ju Peter and Nusjuro definitely stand out so there is still a chance of them being relevant. As of today, I don't think the strawhats will defeat them. Blackbeard's crew is the last remaining villain after Elbaf

I'm not talking about how Oda is treating Sommers during his fight against Zoro, where he is making Sommers look ridiculous and dumb.

When I say Sommers was a fun villain, I'm talking about before his fight against Zoro.

Unless you think the next arc after Elbaf is the final arc, then sure Blackbeard Pirates will be the final villain.

But I doubt the next arc is the final arc, so I highly doubt the Blackbeard Pirates are the last villains.

Also Zoro and Sanji could still fight Nusjuro and Ju Peter, going from Holy Knights to Elders makes sense.

And finally why introduce one of the Elders as a Swordman with the Shodai Kitetsu, if he is not going to fight Zoro.

Don't let Oda's treatment of Sommers vs Zoro, suddenly make you change your opinion on the Elders fight.

As for Killingham, no offense but if you think he will be more impressive than Sommers, you might end up being for a rude awakening.

The man was already off screen by pre CoC Sanji before, and was already kicked by Sanji in the last chapter.

It would be nice to see him getting some respect in a fight unlike with Sommers, but I doubt it.

Basically.... Zoro got zero powerups this arc.

He already had the ability, which was accidentally unlocked when he let all of his haki flow out with Enma.
He didn't know what it was, he didn't realize what he was doing, nor did he understand how to use it at will.

The entire struggle with Sommers, is to simply figure out for oneself about how exactly to cut an onion with a knife... when your knife is already sharp enough and you have knowledge on how to cut the onion.

All he needed was "Aha this is Conquerors Haki" after bullying Sommers for a chapter or two without realizing what tool in his toolbox to use.

Take away the Gorosei and Holy Knights contracts how strong do you have them? Excluding Shamrock since he'll be top tier either way.

The Gorosei(Not counting Garling) would be fucking dead, no seriously they would be, the immortality is keeping them alive because they are centuries and centuries old, without the contract, they would be dead.

As for the Holy Knights below Yonko Commander level, maybe even below Tobi Roppo.

As for the SHs, I firmly believe that none of the current members will get a DF in the future for themselves. Usopp might feed a DF to his slingshot; maybe Zoro himself to one of his swords, though I highly doubt it.
But Sanji is an enhanced human already. He got the ability he wanted through the Raid Suit, and there will hardly be a future DF that can make him more powerful than aCoC alone can.
Also, if Judge wanted to turn his kids into perfect living weapons, why has he never fed any of them a DF?
IMO, the Lineage Factor engineering he did on them prevents them from eating a DF. Judge's tinkering affects the same part of a person's genetic makeup that a DF alters upon consumption. That's why Reiju can showcase a lite version of Magellan's DF. The Vinsmoke kids were already given a different Green Blood-like serum before they were even born, so eating a DF for them would be like eating a second one: impossible.

The M3 are all superhumans.
Luffy is a monster who combines DF and will power
Zoro is a monster who combines swords and will power
Sanji is a monster who combines an artificial body and will power/passions

Just how I don't see Luffy or Sanji ever use a sword seriously, I also don't see Zoro or Sanji use DFs.

Franky should improve himself through scientific weaponry, even better if of his own design and not hand-me-downs from VP. Sure, DF are a scientific creation too, but I'd rather he stayed a cyborg with implants than another paramecia user.

As for Jimbei, not only do I think he will never get close to a DF, but the "fishman who has a DF ability" idea touched on in FMI with Vander Decker I believe will be used to set up Davy Jones' condition, not to foreshadow Jimbei himself getting an ability.

How I see it is, BB represents the unchecked hunger for power. That's why he's the only person in the entire series to be able to consume more than one DF. Post-ts, the BBPs have been shown to hunt down interesting DFs. They may not be the ultimate DFs in their categories, but they're DFs that BB deems necessary for his goal, just like he said with Boa.
They might not get what they want exactly, but they will get the closest best thing.
But the DF alone isn't enough. Not for a top-tier crew. Not for a wannabe PK or King of the World. Orochi showed that: unless you have haki, you're an easy target for competent fighters.
So, do the BBPs all need to be exceptional duelists?
No. They can threaten entire nations with hax DFs.
But they do need a little bit of haki to counter other hax DFs that might try to oppose them.

It does make sense cuz Red-Hair Pirates are probably really good Combatants & Haki Users, while other Yonko & WG also have many DF Users, so it would be weird if Blackbeard didn't make sure his Crew wouldn't be countered by other DF Users,

Blackbeard planned where to find Strong Crew Members, and then He planned to help them find suitable DFs, and nothing says that's the end of his ambition for them, He probably have another Plan to turn them truly unstoppable,

However, I don't think it's Haki Path (Even though They are probably great CoO/CoA Users), I believe Oda already teased their Upgrade, when He made Blackbeard encounter Seraphim, that scene imo cannot be to hype Seraphim, especially when that Arc is gonna show SHs facing them anyway, I believe Blackbeard decided that it would be amazing if He can turn his Crew into Pacifista/Seraphim, hence why He sent Devon to Egghead to initiate his Plan,

BB Pirates with Lunarian/Pacifista Upgrades make more sense than Warlords with such Upgrades, cuz it's not like They are deceased, we already have Mihawk & Mr. 1 still Active & Important, we still have Crocodile & Moria & Jinbe & Hancock, so imo Warlord Seraphim were only created to pave the way for BB Pirates Upgrade.

But now Sanji has to catch up, so has to pretend like Zoro doesn't know CoC.
