I like both Shanks and Mihawk(Although Mihawk looks cooler), and for a while I tried to stay neutral when it came to the whole Shanks vs Mihawk debate on who is stronger.
I wanted to wait until we got a bit more information, and now finally we have chapter 1194 which is Zoro vs Sommers, and after reading that chapter, yeah I can now safely say that Mihawk is above Shanks.
First of all, this chapter pretty much more or less confirms that Mihawk does have CoC which should include the Advanced one.
In the same chapter we even see Zoro using sending out CoC lighting through his sword to cut Sommers's hand off.
And if Zoro can do that, then it's obvious that Mihawk can do the same but on a greater level.
"But MIhawk is only better at sword skills, he is not stronger!" You might be saying this but yeah no, it's clearly obvious that the "sword skill" also includes haki.
It makes no sense for Mihawk to fight against Shanks and not use haki and as for Shanks, well so far the only type of fighter he is, is a swordsman with haki, which is the same as Mihawk.
And again it was stated before that Mihawk not only does he have better sword skills than Shanks, but he is also the strongest swordsman in the world.
Unless you think Shanks is a mixed martial artist or uses a gun like he did in the games, but so far in the canon of the manga, he is just a haki swordsman and nothing else.
Mihawk is the same thing but is again confirmed to be the stronger and better one.
And no you can't use the whole but Shanks is a hakimen type bs anymore, when Mihawk has strong and powerful haki as well and also most likely uses it during a serious fight.
I know for some especially for Shanks Tards, it's going to be tough to accept this reality and many will still cope and not accept it no matter what.
And that's fine, either way that is it.
