Yeah obviously but the Haki you unlock first, is the one you have the most natural talent for.

Luffy/Ace -> CoC
Coby -> CoO

Not sure why people are so quick to dismiss that SBS info in this thread. If we think about potential upgrades that could involve the wings at the Final War;

Zoro unlocking Black Blade - CoA
Sanji unlocking Future Sight - CoO

Not every power up after this is guaranteed to be CoC dependant.

Specializing in a typ of haki doesn't mean one can't use another types. Luffy grasps CoC haki just faster on his own he never knew that a person can coat himself in CoC haki but he felt it and applied the next moment. While he struggled in learning ryou and future sight.

He's written nothing of the sort. Rayleigh explained the same thing. Some people just gravitate towards different types of Haki.

Zoro unlocked Observation before armament. Sanji showed no sign of observation and even till now he doesn't seem any good at it. Luffy learned advanced armaments and Zoro yet to learn. If Asura is really CoC than another haki Zoro learned first than Luffy.

Luffy learnt FS before Sanji. Zoro learnt wifi haki before Luffy. In the end they'll all be specialist in all 3 haki, like Rayleigh & Gaban (Roger pirates had been).​

This SBS of "specialising" just refers to the Haki that the Monster Trio were the best at by that point in the series, nothing else

As for Zoro's assumption, well turns out he was wrong so it doesn't mean anything

The SBS answer is still relevant. A specialty just means you have the best mastery of that Haki type compared to the other types that you have.

Luffy is most the proficient at using CoC than CoO or COA.
Zoro is most the proficient at using CoA than CoC or CoO.
Sanji is most the proficient at using CoO than CoA or CoC.
Katakuri's CoO mastery is much better than his CoA or CoC.

Note: I deliberately did not say the strongest because you can't really directly compare all 3 types of Haki in terms of power. And CoC is usually the strongest type even when you're not that proficient—Zoro's CoC is stronger than his CoA even though Zoro's better at using CoA.

It doesn't mean, however, that your specialty is stronger/better than someone who doesn't have it as a specialty. You may or may not have a better mastery than others even if it's your specialty.
