General & Others Is Marineford the worst aged arc in Shonen history?

I recently re-read Marineford and while reading it I couldn't help thinking "Dude, that's some massive bullshit."

You ask why?

Because with everything we learned about haki (especially the top level stuff) hardly anything during this arc makes sense. Especially not the moves (or rather non-moves) the true top tiers there made.

Knowing how insane CoC can be, how using CoO and CoA is absolutely necessary in every fight against skilled opponents, Marineford looks incredibly implausible in hindsight.

One example that actually made me laugh out loud: The infamous and hyped up New World Captains who helped WB were overpowered by the very first models of the Pacifista. Those same pacifista models were getting one-shotted by base form Luffy (and Zoro/Sanji) simply using CoA right after the timeskip. You tell me THAT was the level of those scary New World Captains back then - not even knowing basic haki? Post-skip they would fall even below Doflamingo's random henchmen.

If you re-read Marieford with the knowledge we have now, it really looks like some lower or mid-tier dudes met for a friendly sparring match.

It really aged that poorly.

It's really so dumb and implausible in hindsight, you almost have to laugh.

You had Sengoku right there and let base form Luffy (no haki) and freaking Mr.3 (a complete fodder) free Ace who was right next to you.

Dude, realistically Sengoku should've been able to to blast them into oblivion with like 1% of his power back then and it's not even like he let them free Ace willingly.

The thing is, we have to experience One Piece from Luffy's perspective; back then, he didn't know what CoC, CoA, or CoO were, so we were in the dark too.

Well, how do we know they weren't using it?
In the true sense of the word, Marco and Vista used it against Akainu, and Jozu used it against Aokiji.
We could even say Marco used it against Kizaru—or even Rayleigh against Kizaru—otherwise, it would have been impossible to touch a Logia user.

Garp and Sengoku who should have been expert haki user with CoC don't even use anything to knockout 80% of fodders.
Old Rayleigh can use it, why not them.

Haki is a mistake ...... it could be no problem if it's executed well with logic sense but whatever we have right now is random shit and brain-dead plot

Luffy could have knocked out 30,000 of Kaido's fodder troops, but he didn't.
You shouldn't think too much about CoC.

That's a maybe, the number is never certain and by that logic, the combined conqueror flex of Linlin and Kaido could have knocked out the respective mass of weaker allies
