Character Discussion Sommers won't die

[milluki]

A few months ago people here were sure Imu would kill Sommers for destroying the ship

Of course Imu did no such thing. Have you ever looked at Sommers' uniform? He even has a medal on his shoe! Imu's most decorated soldier, no question about it. The Roger Pirates didn't manage to kill him and neither will Zoro. With his vast battle experience, Sommers will find a way to survive the encounter with the greenhaired greenhorn.
He will survive just as he survived last time, when so many, who have learned nothing, were expecting his death.

I don't think his vast battle experience is saving him if his heart gets cut in half. But maybe Oda will once again find some dumbass loophole to keep him alive

[Blazing Lion]

You are right partially
Before we got confirmation that Harald let Loki kill him what we knew about the steal heart was that it would stop the regeneration effect, even the delayed effect. So its very likely that Zoro will stab the heart and it will stop Sommers from coming back but not necessarily kill him.

Oda is more likely to have Imu kill Sommers in the fallout or have him reabsorb whatever keeps Sommers running than have Zoro kill. Even though he's the one who put Zoro in the position to kill, lol
