One Piece Chapter 1195: "The Spear of Grit"

Cover Page Request:
Queen (Scien) in his hybrid form uses his long mechanical neck to stretch high up into a tree canopy to gently place a fallen eagle chick back into its nest.

The chapter begins in Elbaph's West Village, where complete chaos has erupted. Zaza looms over the battlefield after single-handedly laying waste to almost all the giant warriors in the area. Ripley lies heavily bruised and defeated on the ground. Collun bravely steps up in front of his injured mother, trembling but resolute as he draws his small wooden sword, declaring at the top of his lungs that he is a brave warrior of Elbaph too.

Before Zaza can strike, Dorry and Brogy step in and unleash their massive combined attack, Hakoku Sovereignty, hitting Zaza directly. The force of the strike completely vaporizes her body into thin air. However, the giants' momentary relief is instantly dashed as the falling rain begin to swirl together and reform Zaza’s liquid body completely unharmed.

The scene shifts over to the battle between Sanji and Killingham.

Killingham, having just been sent flying across the field by one of Sanji's kicks, gets back up to his feet. He casually dusts off his coat, entirely unfazed by the impact. He notes with a grin that the giants in the village are on their last legs and begins to taunt Sanji, mocking his inability to put him down for good:

"Will your captain—and the rest of your crewmates—welcome you back, amidst the cries and lamentations of Elbaph's mothers? Or will they sail on without you?"

Killingham then shifts into his hybrid Kirin centaur form, wielding the Spear of Longinus with terrifying precision. Combining his mythical centaur physiology with the spear's special ability to manipulate water, he channels high-pressure torrents directly through the spearhead, unleashing a barrage of devastating water-infused thrusts toward Sanji.

While attacking, Killingham drops heavy world lore, revealing that the Rimoshifu family has harbored an ancient enmity toward Fishmen for thousands of years. He boasts that they were the single world noble family who continuously vetoed and blocked the inclusion of the Ryugu Kingdom into the World Government. He adds that if it hadn't been for "that wretch from the Donquixote Family..." before trailing off into his assault.

Sanji immediately activates his Germa Exoskeleton alongside Ifrit Jambe. The intense, searing blue flames engulfing his leg instantly evaporate Killingham's high-pressure water thrusts into huge plumes of steam. Sanji blitzes forward and lands a series of devastating, bone-shattering kicks, inflicting severe wounds on Killingham's centaur frame.

However, Killingham’s instant regeneration kicks in immediately—the deep cuts and burns heal in a matter of seconds, rendering every heavy strike completely ineffective at keeping him down.

As the high-speed clash continues, Sanji drops into a bitter internal monologue amidst the trade of blows. Under the pressure of Killingham's taunts and the wall of endless regeneration, Sanji wrestles with his deepest inadequacies—his inability to kick women even if it costs him his life, his moments of weakness where he had to rely on others, and the terrifying fear of his Germa bloodline completely stripping away his humanity.

Yet, as he weathers Killingham's relentless centaur and spear assault, Sanji arrives at an epiphany. He realizes that his soft, "foolish" heart isn't a weakness or a flaw at all—it is the very human soul that his mother sacrificed her own life to protect and preserve.

He recalls the fundamental lesson Zeff taught him on the Baratie about the ultimate weapon a true man carries within his chest: the spear of true grit. Sanji's mind flashes back to Whole Cake Island—hearing the echo of Luffy’s desperate, tearful shout across the rain: "Without you, I can't become the King of the Pirates!"

All lingering doubt completely evaporates from Sanji's eyes. A composed smile breaks across Sanji's face as he faces Killingham down, declaring that the only tears falling will be from Mary Geoise, and that he will personally light Killingham's funeral pyre.

Combining Advanced Conqueror's Haki (CoC) into his leg, thick black lightning violently emanates as the blazing trails of Ifrit Jambe turn pitch black. Sanji launches forward with insane speed. The kick only grazes Killingham's side, but the sheer, overwhelming heat and Haki instantly incinerates a massive section of his flank. Killingham looks on in complete, wide-eyed shock as the damage fails to immediately regenerate.
