Ok.

And be honest
Ok.

Would Turkey be a better place if Ataturk didn't wipe out Muhacir culture and enforce Turkish one?
Obviously yes.

"Muhacir culture" isn't one thing only.

Mustafa Kemal isn't the only responsable and young turks are part of that too.

Nation-states all have that same type of historical problem. France is one of them.

I mean, it would mean that modern Turkey would be mostly speaking Euroepan languages+Kurdish , possibly leading to a Pakistan situation where the Refugee Urdu Speakers rule over Panjabis

It's a Catch 22 isn't it

Any country that tries to do what France Spain and Germany did would be condemned(Russia too), yet it's the only reason why they are "big United" countries

So it's more complex than Black and White thinking isn't it? Italy for example still struggles with a separation between it's "Gaulic" North and it's "Latin" South for example

Nation-states have been built at the expense of its "minorities" or "regionalities". It is known and there is nothing good in it.

the idea is that every state should follow western standards of multi culturalism is naive. Even the biggest China leftist simps have no word on the Uyghur stuff and the obvious han favoritism because they understand how insanely hard multi culturalism is to implement outside the west

Neoliberals are also pretty bad at this

Sweden will never have a right wing government ever again because they just couldn't stop bringing in migrants because their "small family owned business" just couldn't pay minimum wage to natives without compromising on things like their wives breast surgeries

They are setting their kids up to be slaughtered once the Pyramid scheme falls

yeah it is a liberal idea

i usually stay away from those arguments. ideally nation/ethno states shouldn't exist but that is not a reality 90% of the world lives in and alot of cultures refuse to adapt it

Cultures only exist because people practice it. The problem isn't genetics, race, or ethnicity. The problem is people refuse to adopt the local culture when moving abroad. "In Rome, be Roman." One of the main reasons the Roman Empire fell was because barbarian tribes managed to get in without assimilating into the Roman world and pledging allegiance to Rome and the Empire. The problem is culture. Always has been. Brazil is a multiethnical nation, but it ain't multicultural. Actually, the culture is pretty homogenic despite the diverse racial background.
