I'm mostly baiting but the second one could be her getting back into action
She is definitely playing a role to bringing imu down this arc
God I hope not, on that second part. At least, not in a way that is more than her giving some information or something. Mostly because if she did, it would completely devalue the Cvoenant and kinda piss all over Harald's death. If there was a way for a Covenant user to ACTUALLY resist direct orders from Imu, then Harald's death would be utterly meaningless.
In theory, all it should take to turn her on the SH's/Giants is a singular order. Which Imu can give telepathically, without even having to be anywhere near her. And the only possible narrative counterplay (that doesn't make the Covenant feel useless) would be contrived af writing where her aforementioned potential magical eye powers allow her to resist. In which case it would just make Imu going out of his way to recruit her utterly pointless and counter-productive, as if it was a possible COUNTER to his abilities, he should have just killed her and not brought her into the fold, tou know?
So basically the only ways for her to be particularly helpful are if Oda decides to put on a master-class of garbage writing. Bonus points if he has Imu discard her like trash for no reason and even releasing her from her Covenant (despite her apparently being extremely valuable to him, moreso than likely any other living HK) solely to justify her being able to turn on him. You know, the Baby 5 thing, whrre Lao G inexplicably started insulting her out of nowhere so that Sai could kick him in the mouth and win her heart/make her utter betrayal of the Donquixote Family seem somehow less awful (even though half the Family probably genuinely cared about Baby 5. Like Buffalo or Senor Pink.)? Ugh.
.........minor tangent at the end there, but I always hated that plot point.
