You are missing the point, what does this flashback do for him. He already has rhe Gaban flashback. Let's call this what it is - padding!! Iva's flashback serves no narrative importance that wasnt already established by Gaban. Intact it cheapens that moment!

It was completely unnecessary to make CoC a different ability, it just should have been part of CoA, just the highest form not all people can reach, that's it.

CoC is Haki, so it's managed just as atrociously as any other type of Haki.

Furthermore, it's simply a power Oda is giving to all the strong characters now. Nothing more, nothing less.
