Okay fuck it, I'll be direct lmao. Do you think Sommers is a good match up for sanji? Because I think killingham would've been a better match up for zoro and zoro is still washing Sommers lol.

On a serious note: this chapter just confirms from wano to now, zoro was stronger than sanji.
People gotta contextualize the wings statement: it just means by EoS, sanji and zoro will be relative. It doesn't mean they were or are equal throughout the story.
I also maintain Zoro will always have the better feats even if narratively they will be equal because he faces stronger opponents.

I'm not gonna lie just watched Iva's intro episode and I can understand why Sanji wants to forget

Anyways Iva being the medium Sanji uses to breakthrough his mental block is interesting for a variety of reasons.
For one, Iva's the poster girl for love yourself in this series and Sanji needs to learn how to do that.
Moreover, fact that Iva was very close to Kuma is also an interesting point for me.
Iva has been with Kuma the longest and defo knows he's a Bucanner and might also be familiar with the characteristic ability of the Bucaneers so we could potential get a bit of exposition on what ever it was that enabled him to overcome his programming which also seems to have ties with Sanji's PoL.
Gotta say Oda can be a quack at times but really appreciate how much effort he puts into writing Sanji.
