Fake outrage.
Yes it's a weakness. Do you see Zoro and Luffy throwing away their lives recklessly without a fight solely to sacrifice themselves for their friends? NO!!! They fight to fucking win even if the odds are against them. That cowardly mentality hinders him from becoming a Conqueror.
And he isnt gonna become an Okama in the next chapter.
I think his own mental weakness is linked to that short period during the timeskip where he was an Okama and he had to shake off that mentality in order to overcome and get stronger. However, that was a traumatic time for him and he doesn't wanna remember it lol.
I recommend you to read a great manga called One Piece. There is a scene in the Thriller Bark where a character named Zoro offers his life over his captain and crew. To do so he accepts to take all his captain's pain after a hard battle they all suffered. Not only the pain inside his captain was enourmous but also his own. He could have very well died over there and he was happy to do so.
Though he might read worstgen reviews and change it.
This!
Seeing a lot of homophobia from a fanbase whose favourite character has not indicated he finds women attractive in ~1200 chapters.
If there is a gay Strawhat, it's Nami or Zoro.
At first you was most likely talking about Luffy. How that became a Nami or Zoro thing?
Zoro literally have tons of ships in One Piece.
It’s pretty simple: Sanji is kind. Too kind. He mistakes sacrificing himself for his friends as an act of kindness. That doesn’t make those past moments any less impactful or change what they meant. It means his weakness is believing that his own life, goals, and dreams matter less than other people’s. He’s willing to give them up so his friends can achieve theirs.
Overcoming that weakness doesn’t mean he’ll stop caring about his friends. It means he’ll stop abandoning himself and learn to value his own life and dreams, too.
It's insane to me that people don’t reach this conclusion from simply reading the story. Oda has made the point pretty clear, yet it still gets misread. And no, Sanji will not become a fucking Okama. He was traumatized by that period, suppressed the memories because he didn’t want to face them, and now may have to confront them to overcome his weakness. Especially since Ivankov apparently pointed it out during their training.
That kind bullshit is Oda trying to do something meaningful with Sanji.
Zoro was introduced as sacrificing himself to people he never met before so they wouldn't be in debt with marines or something.
Sanji does have kindness related to starvation, his captain and crew. But so as Zoro. And Luffy. There is nothing special about Sanji's kindness. He is also very rude. Like rude as fuck. Probably the most rude in the crew or even in the whole manga.
Sanji already pushed himself alot this arc, Im impressed. Its just a mater of week now and he will use acoc. Although I dont think he will master it yet. It will be first haki bloom.
Honestly it feels very anticlimatic someone consciously trying to bloom haki. Like Luffy and Zoro already bloomed and then were learning how to control. Sanji didn't. Imagine Usopp back at Dressrosa thinking "I have to unlock Observation Haki otherwise we will fail and our adventure will be over". Or Luffy at Marineford "I have to unlock Conqueror's haki or my brother will die sooner than he is supposed to!"
