Sommers's weapon gets stronger when he gets angry, what would make him angry is seeing Gaban because Gaban and Rayleigh helping Roger and Garp is the reason why all of this happened and Shanks got kidnapped. We'll get to see angered Sommers kill Gaban

Yes, Zoro and Sommers landed towards the area where Imu is fighting, but it's hard to get angry and power up Gram when you're dead

Oda genuinely gives zero fucks about Zoro anymore. He just throws him some aura farming moments . Zoro unlocked ACoC on Onigashima and we STILL haven't gotten a scene showing him becoming a king like Sanji just did in this chapter. This is fucking pathetic. He's become a caricature of himself.

Honestly, are you satisfied with what Oda is doing with Zoro? The fight is absolute dogshit, Sommers is a garbage opponent who brings absolutely nothing to the table besides being a clown. All we get is one shitty page of Mihawk saying ACoC is cool. This is genuinely pathetic.

I had no expectations for Sommers to be a legit opponent for Zoro from the start. I already posted about this in the spoiler thread but I can't quote it, so I'll copy + paste it here:

Unfair comparison. Zoro's already an established Top tier with a massive CoC, Sanji's still edging towards the top tier during this fight with a CoC that is still starting to grow.

Mihawk got like one panel for Zoro sense of self while Ivankov has half a chapter and small present cameo for Sanji self-love development

Killingham is actually cool and hasn't gone around getting mogged by everyone and their mummy while Sommers the punching bag gag of every top tier

Zoro like coke you get immediate aura farm while Sanji like wine you gotta take your time to drink until you start getting easy and tipsy

Oda been working overtime for Sanji writing ever since fishman island nosebleed shit happened

I would be pissed if marimo got 15 pages fb of his mihawk training for a fodder like lommers, another thing people are overlooking here is zoro already went though this moment in wano where we had whole fb to his childhood days with kozaburo. lommers only looked that much worse because gap was simply too large can't use this against marimo you wont see anyone defend lommers either since from the start we always maintained he was never worthy opponent.

The funny thing with zoro is they over inflate and hype his ap stat so much that they cant even getting excited about PU anymore, like this PU is meaningless these people were already claaiming he could cut anything before anyways

Yeah zoro got too strong too fast hence Oda has had trouble having him near where the plot progressed in egghead, you've indeed discovered it.
Now that he has ACoC control, even his normal based attacks can damage top tiers.
So he's just flat out one of the most lethal character in the verse. It's a pretty big power up, more to do w consistency.

Oda just sees him differently. Zoro is like your almost perfect warrior, who keeps to surpass his limits. Sommers, who is no match to him at all, was rightly no-diffed. And imo it was hilarious. No worries, Zoro will get his cool and interesting fight in the future! He's got to become WSS after all. And as for character development - he's kinda already there? He's capable, confident, already has his found family with SHP, what else do we expect?
