Well I'm happy for Sanji and his fans, but this happened way too fast with not enough buildup beforehand imo. Oda just conveniently gives it to Sanji in the exact fight he needs it, at the exact time when he needs adv CoC too, with exactly the right person to tell him how, without prior training, self discovery, experimentation or being on the edge of desperation. Turns out all Sanji was missing was Gaban 'telling him to be a king', lmfao Oda has really lost all nuance and proper setup and is just writing whatever as he goes along now. This is just lazy and I don't consider it good writing tbh.

Watch Oda do the same for Sabo and Coby when they need to face a god Knights in the final arc and Oda just give it to them on the spot because he only remembered in the moment they are needed. Proper build-up, character development, and foreshadowing be damned. Oda stopped trying after giving CoC and Adv CoO to Luffy.

We can all agree Sanji COC moment could have been written better and even far better

but in the ocean of mid that One Piece is at this very moment this is still a breath of fresh air

At least Oda is trying with Sanji, trying to give him a past story, a character development, multiples arcs to grow etc and even now with COC it came from somewhere believable / understandable

it is a bit too linear and predictable but it is still there

compare it with how badly written Zoro CoC awakening and its night and day. I’m not even talking about the other straw hats who now have barley anything to do character wise

Yep, Zoro got his CoC in a similar manner, it is what it is man.

Sanji just speedrun a new record on getting CoC and ACoC on the same day on top of potentially another advanced haki (likely ACoA emission but maybe Future Sight too)

All thats left is for Law to beat his record and unlock all 3 on same day then OP will be the greatest shonen of all time
