As I get older I just dont care for the constant back and forth bringing the characters down. Most important thing for me is witnessing the strawhats' growth to greatness and the lore of One Piece. I love Zoro but I can also love Sanji and the rest of the crew and want the best for them all.

That Udon training arc was absolutely dog shit anyways and it was for CoA.

Zoro got Enma and at least Oda showed some internal struggle.

But both are very shit compared to Sanji where his whole family is tied into it..his child hood trauma..what he is trying to become etc.

Zoro absolutely got hosed though. Wano was split in 3 Acts, and one of them should’ve had him as the protagonist.

Or, fuck it, between WCI and Wano, Oda should’ve squeezed in a Wano Prologue.

Zoro living the ronin life, reflecting on how much has changed since his lone wolf days, and doing something heroic.

I hated that arc but now in retrospect it all looks great. I never thought Oda will tie it all in.

Just look at how DOG SHIT character arc of Luffy is in comparison.
