"ACoC" is a b.s. made up term. It's just about unlocking CoC (and coating it). Luffy unlocked CoC pre-TS multiple times.

The "coating" aspect is fairly trivial considering even Kinemon can do it. When Luffy mentioned "advanced" Haki he was talking about Rayleigh's internal destruction ACoA, but they looked the same so he couldn't tell the diff. Not sure if Zoro and Sanji have this. We'll see.

Kizaru is def being set up to leave next imo. Egghead was the foundation for something bigger for his character

I think the trauma of having had to kill VP will make him consider turning on the Gorosei, but won't do it by himself.
When Akainu proposes that the Marines mutiny against the evil WG, Kizaru will finally have a reason to fight at his full power (and unlock CoC).

I don't think he will betray bu he can fight Jinbei, Kizaru is probably weaker then Aramaki and Fujitora because his DF is bad match against them. Aramaki can absorb his light and get stronger while Fujitora can bend it with gravity.

In hindsight, Luffy didn't get "ACoC" because of the coating aspect, which is the easiest/most trivial aspect. All the Scabbards had it. Boa's sisters have it. It's fairly trivial.

So Luffy had "base" CoC control which is 99% of the problem, and was only lacking the other "1%" coating aspect. In hindsight, it's stupid but Oda just hadn't planned it out. But to be fair to Oda, Luffy also learned the internal destruction CoA, which is true "ACoA", not just basic coating.
