To me Sanji unlocking ACoA would be much more of an asspull than him unlocking CoC. CoC was long overdue. Sanji has seen Luffy use it multiple times. He's seen Big Mom use it.

But as for ACoA even Zoro didn't seem to have it in Wano. It took Luffy 2 weeks of training with Hyogoro to get it.

I'm not talking about just "coating" but the internal destruction Haki. Let's see though. Maybe spoiler providers fucked up translation.

He may have unlocked ACoA, his armament seems to be massively stronger
