The current pacing is fine like any other manga, it was fast a couple chapters before. The problem is adding Oda's break every chapter diverting readers' attention to somewhere else.

Other minor problems are the rest of the strawhats, they got some good stuffs but are still not connecting well with the main plot and useless in the presence of main villain of the arc. I'm sure they will get something done later but not a lot.

It could have worked if IMU was a scheming little shit who could give power to others through contracts, but not use the power himself. A Buggy/Pilaf/Mr Satan archetype, but truly evil, with an army of HKs who must obey every order would've been more than enough.
