Crowley's The Lost Continent said:
[...] presents a supposedly historical account of Atlantis, properly called Atlas: an archipelago inhabited by a race of extraordinarily advanced magicians whose entire civilization exists to overcome natural law and eventually escape Earth for Venus, approaching their ultimate destination, the Sun. Their achievements depend upon a mysterious substance called Zro, manufactured through the labour of enslaved populations and refined through increasingly sophisticated magical processes. Across millennia, the Atlanteans develop extraordinary sciences, reorganize sexuality and society, suppress stagnation, and devote themselves to transcending biological existence. Eventually, the appearance of an extraordinary child signals the fulfillment of their collective project. Atlantis does not simply sink: its inhabitants depart Earth in an immense magical ascension, and the physical catastrophe caused by their departure destroys the continent.
