Now this is how you hype a villain . Imu using a third form to one shot hybrid Loki was totally unexpected 
At the same time, he points out his time limit is coming close, not to mention the possibility of him getting further weakened by Sommers and Killingam losses to the wings
This will likely end in him being forced to go back to mariejoa after Luffy will do something in his new form that will impress Imu while at the same time hiding Imu's full strength for the final saga
As for Loki himself, he probably suffered from the off-paneling but not without Imu acknowledging his strength and likely being responsible in him getting closer to his limits, this without taking into consideration his injured state even before the start of the fight

This is why Law is one of Oda's all time favorites. Oda refuses to draw this kind of scenario for Law, he always makes sure he looks good and gets his roses before going down. Law is a growing character, next time we see him he will be much much stronger and his ope will probably play a crucial role in taking down Imu (immortality)

Can I just say that out of all the Straw Hats in this arc, Jinbe has been such a massive bum.
Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji are having these major moments and fights.
Brook had lots of character focus, clashed against Gunko/Imu, and also had a flashback.
Even Usopp at least had a few decent moments, and it's been hinted that we might still get more from Usopp maybe.
But Jinbe though.....nothing.
Jinbe's role in this arc was fire fighter duty and moving a large box.
Couldn't do anything to Gunko despite having help from the other SHs.
Had to team up with Franky just to take down a single nightmare monster.
Couldn't destroy Sommers's thorns that were wrapped around Robin.
And didn't even bother to help fight against Zaza.
Jinbe really is the definition of the boss after he becomes a playable character.
