Chopper's Rumble Balls: Once ingested, the drug immediately "distorts the wavelength" of the user's Devil Fruit-enhanced biochemistry, creating a number of new abilities.
It's looking like Luffy/Imu can naturally distort their wavelengths to alter their Lineage Factor on the go.
So Imu is pretty much doing what Chopper does with his forms/Fruit, but he's too cool to use drugs, he's living life on the edge, SOBER.
Imu: "Don't be like Monkey D. Luffy and his drug dealing Reindeer. Stay in school, drugs aren't cool, kids." (This message is sponsored by the World Government and Celestial Dragons of Marijoa)
