and i feel like most people have stopped listening to doctors and experts altogether. I haven't left my home in 10 weeks but looking outside I keep seeing a shitload of people outside without masks or a care about the virus. In some ways, I hope the virus gets worse here so that people will actually be wary of the pandemic

Same here in Italy brother. I am still a bit concerned about going out and I try to avoid so for as long as I can.
